Amnesty for illegals without a vote? It might happen

It is being reported that the Obama admin is looking for ways to offer amnesty to all the illegals in the US WITHOUT a bill going to congress for a vote. They know they would have a hard time getting votes or getting it passed. So if they can't get it through congress they are coming with a Plan B. Which is allowing the Department of Homeland Security to grant blanket amnesty to the illegals. They are trying to figure out how the DOS would handle the case load. But if is definately being considered as a way to force amnesty through. Obama is not completely sold on the idea. He is still trying to get support together for a bill. And he is playing hard ball to get it. "Sen. Jon Kyl, R-Ariz., shocked several Arizona residents last week when he told them that Obama had said he would not beef up border security because it would leave Republicans without an incentive to pass broader immigration reforms." So he is not going to do anything to stop the violence and crimes of the cartels on the border unless the republicans support a bill that has amnesty in it. Glad to know he is playing politics with the people living on the border states lives. Unless the Republicans give him the support he wants he is willing to let the violence and crime continue. So much for protecting the American public. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/06/23/lawmakers-warn-administration-plan-unilaterally-grant-blanket-amnesty/ So what do you think? Will Obama actually force amnesty on the American public by cutting congress out of it and allowing the DHS grant amnesty? Should Obama be holding the safety of our people living on the border hostage to get the votes he wants on the bill? Personally I don't see it going good either way. If he forces it through the DHS the masses won't take it nicely. If he forces the republicans to vote for a bill that does not represent the will of the poeple in exchange for stopping the violence..that is going to tick off a lot of people too. He would be putting amnesty for illegals in front of the safety of the citizens of this country. Which won't make anyone happy. Tell me your thoughts.

Not only would that be morally wrong, but it would be legally and Constitutionally wrong. The problem with our Congressional Republicans is that they hold on to stupid stuff like a dog with a bone when they should focus on the important stuff like oh say for instance the actual job of the legislative branch and the will of the voters. Instead of alluding to a problem, get together a legal team (obama can understand this) and go after him for EVERY miscarriage of justice perpetrated. Every misdeed, every disregard for our Constitution. This has gone on long enough!

I agree, I would start with calling EVERY congress critter and holding their feet to the fire - wouldnt that be fun?

I agree. The republicans have got to start going after him harder for this BS like this. But to be honest..I don't think they care. So it is up to us citizens to let Obama know we care and DO NOT WANT AMNESTY. But we DO want our borders secured RIGHT NOW.

I don't think that this is going to happen, but even so most people who are in the country illegally are not a threat to anyone in any way. This may sound stereotypical, they are busboys, gardeners, housekeepers, etc. They are not the kinds of people one would typically worry about. If these people commit crime, that's another issue and we have a police force to deal with that. I think it's high time to stop wasting money and people power to catch people who aren't really doing anything wrong. I was confused when your post said that amnesty would endanger Americans in the border states. Danger from whom and for what reason? If people are dangerous, we have methods to deal with that as I said before. If we truly kicked out all the undocumented people, farming in this country would grind to a halt and we would all starve. Does that sound like a better plan?

Wow, Obama's not even hiding his disdain for federal immigration laws anymore. He just hired a man who openly opposes enforcement of immigration laws as the director for the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Office of State and Local Coordination. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/06/24/obama-administration-picks-critic-immigration-enforcement-key-role-ice/

yep...it looks like he going to push through what he wants...no matter how he has to do it...and if we the american public don't like..than he will just find a way to go around us. Makes you feel warm and fuzzy huh? If he thought healthcare being forced through brought out an outrage against him and the government than wait and see what happens if he does this. People will be absolutely beside themselves with outrage.

Obma will do anything to help himself get reelected. He doesn't care what the American people want.Nothing he does is to help the American people.I don't understand why some people still actually think this moron is doing a good job.I guess those people don't care about the United States either.

He seems to care more about what he wants and how he can force it through than how to represent the will of the poeple. After all the spending and healthcare people are pretty fustrated with him. I don't know how much more high handed actions they are going to take from him.

My thoughts are that any form of amnesty that is not preceded by securing our boarders will be a dismal failure and will surely anger the majority of Americans. If we've learned anything in this country, we've learned that the amnesty that Reagan granted did nothing to stop the onslaught of illegals from sneaking across the boarder. This has got to stop and I would hope that the American people would stand united against either form of amnesty.

If it does not go up for a vote there is not we can do about it because he has cut us out the decision making process...unless we are willing to do MASSIVE protests. We are talking about millions of americans protesting and not stopping until the amnesty is stopped. If he does this before the next election you can bet he will loose.

I don't know if he wants to go that far...but he definately is looking for any way possible to force through his agenda even if it means cutting the american public out of the decision making process..which is very bad.
