Mylot dating?

OMG so I just had this crazy weird idea, that the mylot staff might take into consideration. Why not set up personals etc. the search bar might be better used as well if the users could browse profiles etc. would you try to find love on mylot... have you already? I know its a weird idea lol, getting paid to find the love of your life, potentially, but what are your thoughts on the idea?

One beautiful thing about myLot is that it lets you discuss just about anything you want. Are you sure there isn't an interest called dating or personals or something like that where people are already trying to use myLot to find love? No features specifically have to be added to myLot to make this possible, just like a sports fan doesn't need myLot to create a myLot Sports subsection because there are already interests devoted to tennis, basketball, soccer, etc.

I don't like the idea, but that's just my opinion. There are plenty of dating sites online people could use. Besides someone can always private message someone here if they wanted to get to know them better.

Well, I know few of my friends who started as discussion responders and then to friends and then they took it to a level further here. So actually, there isn't any objection for that one. But, personally, mylot wouldn't be as it is now, if it were to add a dating section. Its different from the other dating sites and I really like it that way.

No sweetie, a bad idea. This is a social site that pays us to have a lot of fun. If you find someone here you are interested in, good. But this is not a dating site. TATA.

I think, this is really crazy weird idea. If we could browse other members profiles, etc, then it's will be easy to abusing mylot and there will be many victims here. Mylot might become the other Facebook. I don't agree with you. Mylot is not intended for dating. There are many dating site that we can join. I am happy with mylot as we can see now. Perhaps, other features maybe need to be added.

Anyone and everyone can browse any profile here. Just place http://www.mylot.com/username in your browser and the profile will show up or place 'mylot + username' in the 'web' search.

You can't browse anything about your friends in mylot. Unlike in facebook, our friends can see everything about us. They can see our email address, our birthday, hobbies, relationship etc. That's why Facebook is susceptible in abusing. There are many bad guys take advanced to other members in Facebook. If we can see other member profiles like in facebook, I worry those bad guys will easily abusing mylot.

unfortunately its privacy is also its downfall, you can't really search for friends period, sure you can make new ones here but you can't search for your local friends without knowing their URL here in mylot.

Not for me. Definitely not good. How am I going to explain to my poor husband that the Social networking site that pays me and the one that I praised so much has turned into dating site

Ohhhh....what if I was too curious and checking out the dating part of the site? Hm...may be a good way to find a toy boy and while I'm at it, find a nice girlfriend for my husband so I don't feel too guilty about spending too much time Lotting??? All kidding aside, I don't mind as long as the main site is there. You can have your kick....suggest to Alice, she might just make it.

it could be your dirty little secret =p I think the same way that the site that you loved also turned into a search engine, or a game site. It could just be a separate forum... not really the entirety of the system.

I have seen that feature in other communities and forums online. The admin and the moderators will post a "help" section where those singles looking for a date can announce their needs... But unlike MyLot, those communities or forums doesn't pay you money to participate. It will be good if we have that kind of feature here and I am one of those pretty excited to use that, because I am also single.

It def. would be a lot of fun to get into! I mean if a member was single and looking, they wouldn't have to look much further. Of course a tab is another great idea I would love to see this go into motion... and be implemented into mylot. There are so many great things, I mean they just added a game site... why not incorporate other tools that could be utilized on the web for lifestyle enhancement.

If you find someone you like there's nothing in the faq that says no dating... however nothing is actually in place to make dating easier on mylot =p
