Reincarnation or Rebirth- Believe in it?

Heya people,
This is one of the topic I really find very interesting. But it is also so much confusing at the same time. There have been many stories about the people getting reborn, or remembering their previous birth. There have been many theories given by different philosphers. Moreover,many religion also support this phenomenon.
Also many books have been written on this topic and many movies have been made on it, but still no one is much sure.
I have read a very good book "MANY LIVES MANY MASTERS" by Dr. Brian Weiss in which he has shared his personal experience of dealing with such people and curing them .
He also stated that many of our present life problems, fears, phobias, difficulties have some links with our past life.
Well this whole topic is very mysterious and still no one knows the exact truth about it.
So what do you guys think about it?
Do you believe in it or you dont?
have you ever came across anyone like this or
have you ever experienced anything like such?

Yes I thoroughly believe in rebirth. I've read a lot of books on spirituality and I also enjoy reading books about really interesting religions, such as Eckankar, a religion based off of Astral Projection. I've heard about Dr. Weiss's book before but I haven't had a chance to read it quite yet.
There are theories on rebirth in both Greek mythology and Tibetan religions/Egyptian religions. I've read some religions believing that if you haven't evolved quite enough to move on to the next plane of consciousness then you are reincarnated back onto earth to try again.
Also a friend of mine that is a well educated Christian taught me that when Jesus was alive he referred to hell as our current world, because it looked like a ghetto, there were animals everywhere and random fires everywhere.

I forgot to add that in Greek mythology stories I have read, the Greek goddess Demeter, has a daughter who is also a goddess, Persephone. The Lord of the Underworld,Hades, tricks Persephone with a luring flower and drags her into the realm of the afterlife. Demeter is incredibly sad for a long time, and at first makes an attempt at sterilizing all humans to get the gods to do something about it, but then Persephone is given the greatest gift of all, the gift of rebirth.
There are also a lot of stories of Gods and Godesses that have a couple different forms and being born a couple different times.

Yeah, there are different mythologies that support the point of reincarnation.

i believe in getting reborn, in the theory, that the soul (or whatever it is) changes bodies. i think every religion has some theORY ABOUT IT. though i've never met such people in person.if i'm not mistaken there is a way to go back to your previous life, with the help of hypnosis. karma is also dealing with this issue

Hey dear!
Well yes, the book which I mentioned "MANY LIVES MANY MASTERS" by Dr. Brian Weiss is about this only. He actually cured people by hypnotising them and taking them back to their previous births.

I think that I am going to remain open minded about this topic! It may or may not be true. I have heard about how some people visit a place and they instantly recognise their surroundings as though they have been there before but never in the current life that they are living. This is really strange and a real case of deja vue as they say!
When I think about the Universe I know that there are a lot of things that we don't understand and perhaps reincarnation is one of them! I would like to think that come the end of my life there is something more but I don't think I would like to return to Earth in order to start living a new life! I think the best course of action is to remain open minded and wait to see what happens! We may all be in for a pleasant surprise at the end of our lives! Andrew

enough to think about another life that had been mine
too, and another life that I will have to live. This stuff is for the idle minds who try to search for more because their lives seem to be not enough for them. We all have just one life, brother, just one. Take good care of that one life.

i believe that a man once die than he cannot be rebirth in this world but he will be rebirth again on doomsday and will be asked about his life that he spend in this world if he spend a good life than he will be given paradise as reward other wise he will be put into hell this all will be done by God

yea i also believe in the same way, that we will be rebirth in the doomsday and all humans will be gathered to be judged for what have we done back in the world..

I think it is a very interesting theory, and I sort of hope it is true, because that would be good, let's face it, but I am not sure I believe it 100 %. Like you said, nobody knows for sure, so I can't be certain in any way. But I hope there is some truth to it!

I don't really know about re-incarnation, I'm not really a believer of this, there are scientific accounts that somehow prove the possibility..one medical entry is what we call De Ja Vu, the conscious feeling of familiarity of one person or a place.. the feeling that you already met the person or been to a place where in fact you haven't .. this are subtle proofs of re-incarnation.. this is widely believed in the Hindu religion.. the art of mummification is based on this belief.
