Do you like to eat your steak raw too?

I actually have to have mine completely cooked, I can't stand having it slightly raw, although I have at times had steak which was still slightly undercooked, and I must admit, I did taste the better difference. However, I have also seen some people who eat it only half done, and even watch those who just cook it for literally 2 seconds and then serve it up onto the plate, still with red blood oozing and dripping from it!! Why?! Isn't it dangerous to eat it this way? E.g. bacteria, etc.. and surely it isn't worth risking food poisoning for the apparent taste if it is because of this...?

Agreed, it tastes much better than when it is over cooked. Well done steak just seems like cardboard to me. And by the way you other people, it isn't blood, it is myoglobin; the cows are bled at the slaughterhouse, and very little blood is actually left in the meat as a result of this.

I have mine well-done also, never mind if its not as juicy but at least I know its fully cooked. I don't eat sushi as well.

I usually have mine well done, just so that all the bacteria is killed off, I know it doesn't taste as good, but slowly I've been giving in to the temptation to undercook it a little...I love Sushi! - though the only raw fish I'll eat is the raw Salmon but with lots of chilli sauce, apparently it helps to kills of the bacteria as well...

Hi, Bellapop
I like my steak well done too. Not charred nor cardboard-like cooked, just well done.
I do not think I can eat it raw. I eat raw fish and other seafood but with beef? I do not think so. I would be too scared of food poisoning.
Cheers!
