Is it true that ancient invention are more advance than we have right now?

i have watched a documentary of history of the ancient discoveries.i was amaze how they already have those we have invented now.i can't imagine galen who was the doctor of medicine operate brain surgery in a 5 year old boy that had a fracture to relieve the pressure he make a hole in the skull to relieve pressure.this is how brilliant he was 2000 BC.traction was being used before and that's very interesting.did you know that machine and robots was also already invented in ancient civilization.the documentaries really informative including how spartan make use of a plant as an escape from the gladiator.seimograph was also invented in ancient time.i believe that they already found it some of the invention we have right and it was reinvented.what are the ancient invention in your country?what are they contribution in our time?

I do believe some invention u have now, originated from ancient times.. hehe ^_^ IT's just that ple now, have the means to improvised on those invention, and thus technology comes in..
PLus in ancient times, everything is based on human strength for any kind of inventions, and yet they still work well enough.. Just take the most basic weapon of all, the spear.. It's thru their own thinking or by looking at how animals hurt them, and thus gave them the idea of how sharp things can kill.. lol =D

sword was first invented in chinese time,it was deadly weapon can kill a person with a single strike on the chest and neck.samurai was very popular in japan its so sharp and can cut your body into different pieces.peopl in the past was very smart even with lacking of knowledge and tools they still manage to develop invention with make use of smart ideas.

Ancient discoveries are very fascinating given the limited knowledge and tools that they have in the past.. you might be awed by their discoveries and truly they form an integral part in the practice of medicine.. but these discoveries are in no way more advance than what we have now in modern medicine.

yes ancient discoveries really unbelievable discovering new line of invention even though they are lacking of equipment they was advance in discovering new things that was reinvented by our famous scientist.but in the recent years we have unlimited equipment that are useful to create new discoveries.
