What is the first thought that crosses your mind when?

First, I believe in miracles. My husband was watching "Most Shocking". As a car pulled into a gas station and the person got out to fuel his car, he was hit by lightning. His only injuries were a few blisters. What is your first thought when you hear of a situation like this? Boy, is that person lucky or another of God;s miracles? AND why?

I guess I think that they are lucky, sometimes that it's a miracle, I guess it just depends on your situation. With the man who was hit by lightning I think he was lucky that he didn't get hurt worse, and that it was a miracle as well. I also wonder if maybe it was more of a miracle, maybe after he had left that station he would have gotten hurt worse, so God decided instead to just give him a few blisters and stall him, you know what I mean?

Herro SomeCowgirl I understand what you are asking. My response would be can it be both lucky and a miracle? I like your last statement regarding stalling him so he had some protection from the lightning strike. Prosperous mylotting

I think that it is God miracle. What else could it be? Sometimes happen some events like this and I look at this like Gods signs which He shows us to let us see that He is with us. These miracles from Him happen everyday but human is so blind and self centric that they can see only "so big" things and even than we have doubts and questions. But why? Why human don't want to see that the God is all the time with us and makes miracles over and over. We need to look only on nature to see that and in other things too. We need to open our eyes and believe!

Herro bubulizz Thank you for having the courage to write your response. I am aware that not everyone has my belief in God and miracles. I'm hoping to get some comments from both sides. Maybe we can get a real discussion going. I particularly appreciate that you said miracles show that God is with us all the time. He is with me 24/7/367. Nature is another good example of God. Look at the plants and how they take care of themselves, the animals, fish and birds, too! Look at the universe, it's beauty. God bless you Prosperous mylotting

I would say he is really lucky to have escaped that lightening.if he walked out of his grave literally then i would call it a miracle.if you can remember---small kid was the only survivor in the recent Libyan plane crash...103 people have lost their lives....so what makes this little dutch boy an exception...i would say he was the luckiest to have survived such a crash.great day.

Herro sunnycool Thank you for your comment. I would be interested in hearing more about how you define the line between luck and a miracle. What defines that a person has been lucky? What defines that God performed a miracle. We don't know the reason that the little boy survived the airline crash. It could be that God has something for him to do as he grows! God bless you Prosperous mylotting

Personally, I believe in miracles. And I like to watch something that the science can't explain. To the unknown world, I feel curious, scared and interested.

Herro chrisjea First off, welcome to mylot. May you have the wonderful and educational experience that I have had. Besides, I'm addicted. I'm glad you believe in miracles. I too like to watch TV that science cannot explain. See them squirm. God says there is no reason for fear, He will handle any situation, if you are His through Jesus. Curious and interested, wahoo. God bless you Prosperous mylotting

I would say he must be real lucky that God give him one more chance. We need to believe that whatever happens, happens for the best. God must have planned in a way that his vehicle gas got empty and then he had to pull over to get gas. Maybe he would have met worse accident if he had gone further. It's all regarding fate and destiny.

Herro Ashton1 Welcome to mylot. May you have the wonderful, educational experience I am having at mylot. I have frequently believed that an event happened that impacted another event. I've been caught up in traffic, only to see an accident at the location I might have been in 10min of normal traffic flow. Mmmmmmm! I don't remember all the times that I believe one event that I think is negative, saves me from involvement of something more dangerous. The traffic example is the best one. I appreciate you taking the time to respond to my discussion. Prosperous mylotting
