Happy New Year to all the Filipinos. We have a new President , President Benigno Noynoy Aquino III. The most powerful statement I found on his speech is "there is no reconciliation without justice." I really hope that those who took advantage of their position while in office will be punished.

I like that part where he said "wala ng wangwang" (no more sirens). Yes! I hope that every time a public official turns on the siren to get past traffic that P-Noy will take him to task. And of course, I also believe in his no reconciliation without justice principle.

Hi, the no more sirens statement was also resounding. Just a few minutes, back on the news, VP elect Binay objected to the "wangwang" thing. Oh my, it seems that he has so many contradictions on the new government. I just hope that we will have a cooperating Vice President.

Yeah I agree with you that was a heavy tall order he has made in his speech. I think the first person that was tasked to to that was Leila De Lima who was tasked to do a review of all pending cases that were on hand and bring justice to our land. I would be challenged heavily upon receiving this order from the president if I were the DOJ secretary.

I really hope DOJ sec Leiala de Lima will give justice to this land. I hope she will not be influenced by the president. Everyone has the right to due process. She must judge according to the rule of law or give due process not by influence of anybody or because of her emotions.

Actually frightening on her part juggling this sensational cases like the Ampatuan case, and the many more that will surface once the truth commission comes into life. I am pretty sure there will be many more to come.

I believe he will be a lot more popular than his mom. and i don't think that will fade, only time will tell unless he resigns.

I believe that he will really make a good President. It is true that the good name is what he inherited from his parents and that is something he should be proud of. But I can feel that he will not fail his parents, and more so the Filipino people.
