Do you use a nameband laundry detergent when washing clothes or another lesser priced brand for laundyr. I usually use purex or ultra .. I am not a name brand stickler..I find if you put a dab of bleach and use the more inexpensive brand ..the clothes come out as clean..OF course I dont put the bleach in my dark clothes;)+LOL

Purex is very good on stains and whites and colors; it is inexpensive and has a great smell. I often buy it when k-mart or wal-mart has a special like 3 for $8.00 +

I like the Mountain scent best. Plus I can get it at the Family Dollar for $3.50 for 64 oz. (at least I think it is a 64 oz. bottle-- too lazy to get up and look at the bottle at 2:06 am, lol.)

For my daughter's clothing I have to use Dreft or All free and clear. For myself I use All free and clear or the cheaper knock offs. It just depends. Usually though, since I have to buy the All anyway, I just use that. My daughter has to have hers washed in the name brand Dreft or All free and clear because she has tons of allergies, and is allergic to dyes and certain materials.

I have never tried Tide coldwater..does it really work? Have you tried it and found it to work as well as detergents do in warm or hot water? I think I remember Dreft when I was in Portugal .but maybe not.

that is a different name . I have not heard of aerial powdered detergent. Is is great on the clothes. Do you have to add bleach to the more soiled clothes..Or is this Aerial powerful enough to take out stains without the help of Bleaches ?

I use Xtra and get it at Wal-Mart. It works just as good as the name brand laundry soap. I have a family of four and I am the only lady, so I go thru lots of laundry soap. Xtra is pretty cheap and I can get a really big container of it, so it will last me a long time.

You'll find different countries have different detergents. I use mostly Surf or Cold Power (in Australia) - but often whatever is on special. I don't use bleach in the wash.

I never heard of the Speed bar..where do you find this..does this clean all your clothes? IF you use this then you dont use laundry detergent? I have heard of the Tide Stain Remover Pen but not the speed bar.

I use All. I really like how it gets the stains out and leaves everything smelling nice and clean. It has a new type out now that has a softner in it and it does an excellent job. it is also fairly inexpensive compared to a lot of the other brands and if you ask me it does a much better job. It also isn't as harsh as Tide. I also like to throw some oxy clean in with every load, it helps for those tough stains my son gets.

I love Tide. It lasts longer cuz you use less and it smells so good even after a week
