Have you ever gone to a psychic?

Several years ago, my brother-in-law died. One day, his wife (I'll call her Dee)got a call from someone she knew who professes to be a psychic, telling her she had a message from her dead husband.
So Dee went running to this woman and was told something that Dee says no one but her husband would have known. I know she went back a few more times...I don't know if she is still doing it or not.
I am very scepical about all this. I figure, since she knew Dee, she remembered some details that she could work up into a "message" from beyond. And I think she eventually asked for money to keep the messages coming, although I can't prove that.
Now, I do believe some people have "powers", or insights if you will, that others don't have. But I just don't know about conversing with the dead.
What do you think? Are psychics real? Do they really have the ability to talk to dead people? Or are all of them scammers?

Well if the psychic continues to ask for money then it is a bit suspicious since she should give the info in 1 session right? That's what real psychics do. In my country there is a radio program and it is hosted by a psychic where you can call and ask any inquiry you might have free of charge. I have called a couple of times before and got the answers to my questions. And outside of radio, you can contact them to have an appointment, now that one is not free anymore. I suggest that she finds a similar thing like this in her country.
