When your working late, and everybody is fast asleep except you. How do you keep your self awake? (almost fell asleep there, lol) Coffee? It makes me more sleepy... I guess what works for me is chatting w/ someone or singing while listening to my music. What helps you stay awake when working?

i drink an energy drink. lots of them when i really need to stay awake. but i drink them in intervals though, i'm scared it might be bad for me if i drink too much. it works for me though. a couple of weeks ago when my friends and i went on an out-of-town, i was sick and feeling too feverish. all day long, i was drinking this energy drink called 'sting' and it kept me up and running. they were so tired from the travel and from swimming, that i ended up being the only one doing night swimming while they were just sitting at the poolside, waiting for my energy to run down. i once drank another brand though, two bottles of it continuously so as not to feel sleepy while driving, but it felt like my heart was going to fast, so i didn't do it again.

I haven't tried any energy drink yet but most of my friends do. Do they taste good? How about that Cobra energy drink? Thanks for sharing.

I will drink an energy drink. It is made by Oceanspray. It is called, CranEnergy. And this drink really works! It helps me out so much! When I drink this, I will have enough of energy to get me by.

hmm, I see a lot of people here advise you on drinking caffeine, I'm not too fond in the idea since too much caffeine is not good for your body. I would suggest to stay awake in healthy way, drink a lot of water that you may have to go to the toilet a lot, always keep in mind that you have to stay awake cause I always feel if something that constantly being remembered in our brain would stick up on us, listen to upbeat music and keep busying yourself with something that do not related to watching or reading. I find if our eyes are too tired, we will be very sleepy in the end

When my daughter was little I used to work third shift and that meant that I spent more time awake when the rest of the world was asleep than I was awake when the rest of the world was awake. So, what I would do to stay awake besides carrying out my tasks as a nursing assistant, I would also do a lot of writing. You see, one of my goals in life is to be a novelist and I would spend the down time of my job working on my novel.

Coffee sometimes help for me, sometimes not. Eat cake or any other sweets while drinking black coffee. Try tickling the top of your mouth using your tongue. It really helps me to keep awake. Or you can stand from your workplace and do some walking and stretching.

Master the art of power naps. During your lunch break, try to take a 30-minute nap. Be sure to set your alarm or ask someone to wake you up just so you don't oversleep. Upon waking up, drink an energy drink to give you a jolt.
