Painting mistake! LOL

I am doing some inside painting today..stuff no one will probably ever see but me like under my kitchen and bathroom sinks ...but at least I'll know its done! It reminded me of a few years ago when my dad was still alive and he used to come every few years and paint my house. Well I went and got the paint and he came but we were just a bit short. So my sister who was here helping and I ran to the store to buy another gallon. When we got there we found the paint with the same label as the paint we had used to paint most of the house and when we got into the car she says....did you know this is interior paint? We just about died laughing but decided it would be better if dad didn't know we had just painted the whole exterior of the house with interior paint! We still laugh about it....Have you ever done anything that dumb? If he realized he didn't say anything...

I bet if he had noticed it he would have said something if he's like most dads, men or whatever, lol. I am always doing something goofy. I lay it on my age.lol

I accidently painted several ceilings in our house with semi-gloss paint. The reflection from any light was silly looking. Eventually we hired someone to paint the inside and they painted it with flat paint. Looked so much better. I was young and in a hurry. Had kids running around the house and didn't want the youngest to get into the paint and supplies.

What a cute story, haha, and your Dad never said a word, how sweet.
No, I never did anything like you did, but I'm a horrible painter. I don't have patience, I'm too short even with a ladder, my arms are short so I can't reach long spaces, and I'm a nervous wreck that I'm going to fall off the ladder, haha. Cutting in is the worst for me as I have to constantly move the ladder every couple of feet, ugh!
Once a long time ago, I stepped down off the ladder and accidentally spilled over a whole can of mixed paint, duh. Thank goodness I had plastic down and it was a mess. So that kind of made me gunshy on painting, plus that paint wasn't cheap.
Now I'm in an apartment so I don't have to worry about it, lol! But I did paint my daughters bedroom for her last year, took me forever.

Wow, no I don't think I made a painting mistake, especially one like this..So your dad never said anything? Do you know how long it lasted, because I am sure the interior paint would have peeled a lot sooner..

Hi Jill, Guess the house needed repainting slightly earlier than usual after that but how lovely that your dad used to come and paint for you, mine is brick so exterior doesn't need doing and the Housing Assoication paints the frames. I have probably done a lot of dumb things in my time but can'tthink of a paint one lol. Huggles. Ellie :D

That's a pretty cute mistake, I haven't mixed up interior and exterior paint before! I remember when we were painting our deck though, we forgot the directions and screwed up the deck paint pretty badly xD We had to start all over once we figured out what we did wrong. That's our paint mishap! ahaha

im sure even if your father saw it he wouldnt say anything bcs he knew your intention wasnt bad you were just painting^^ anyway what kind of things do you like to paint? i also draw flowers only good thing im good at but paint i could never really do it^^ anyway continue painting but dont hide it why dont you try to show it to an expert or something? maybe your paints are better than what you think^^
