Admit guilt or run ?

Today I went to a DIY shop to look at walpaper with my husband, he wandered off to look at some paint and when I found him I asked him which paint he was thinking of buying, he then picked up a huge plastic paint pot and said "this one" No sooner had he said it than he dropped the paint pot which spilled a huge amount of white paint all over the floor of the aisle. I really didn't know what to do or where to look as I was so embarrassed. Then he looked at me and said " Did anyone see us ?" then ran for the door! I followed think what is he doing ? this is not like him , when we got in the car he said he was too embarrassed to tell anyone and just wanted to get out of the store. Looking back at this incident I can now laugh as it was a funny thing to happen ... so what would you do run or admit it was you ?

It was a can of Paint... What's that like $35? Embarassment aside i think i would have paid for my clumsiness. Tsk Tsk. But it is just a can of paint... NO harm no foul.

I Think I would get a store associate.I am Pretty sure they would not make you pay for it! I'm sure it's embarrassing. I would really laugh about it if I did it too! But it's always better to 'fess up so that it can get cleaned up right away! I would really feel badly if I found out someone stepped in it or slipped in it later!
