Wonder why war bills are so high?

Simply put, they are not just for wars. $37 billion war bill. Not good enough, the democrats heaped on another $20 billion in domestic spending. Republicans cant vote against it, or they are hanging our military out to dry. This bill (for the wars) includes $10 billion for teachers, $1 billion to help youths find jobs (how about take them from illegals), and the best yet is $1.15 to compensate black farmers who missed the deadline for a law suit a decade ago. you can read more here http://congress.blogs.foxnews.com/2010/07/06/its-all-your-money-additions-to-the-war-supplemental/?test=latestnews What do you think of all of the add on crap. Let me also say that Democrats are NOT the only ones to do this. This is done all of the time. In my opinion, there should never be irrelevant items added to bills.

And on and on....c--p, c--p, c--p, pork, pork, pork, earmarks, earmarks, earmarks. That's what comes of allowing deception to be the hallmark of our last days! Without the "God Standard" there are no standards and men live by their own greed and lust for power. Of course this is pathetic. "What shall be the sign of the end of days? Deception will abound."

And you would have to be completely blind to not see it!

And they WILL not see. Why? It vexes me so. I know God allows this blindness to continue, but has He "caused" it as part of the just recompense our country deserves?

That is exacty why that stuff was added to the bill even though it had NOTHING to do with war spending...if the republicans voted against it then they would get hung out to dry for "not supporting our troops". No politican likes to waste a opportunity to waste and spend and this just proves it. Spend, spend, spend. Why these guys (on both sides) are not struck by lightening whenever they say the words "fiscal responsibility" is beyond me. Earmarks and add ons to bills should be illegal. If it has NOTHING to do with the orginial material in the bill..it should not be able to be added to it. I am sooo fed up with both sides because both sides are guilty of it. In the end it is the american public who pays for it and is lied to. I hope the American public remebers BS like this when it comes time to vote in the next couple of elections and votes the jerks out on both sides. MAJOR house cleaning is needed.

a lot of money gets wasted on rubbish. your country is not the only one to do this. wars themselves are a rather expensive hobby, even if you do get oil from them.

I agree war is an expensive hobby, but even more so when they tack all the crap on there.

I know my family and friends will remember the garbage; the lies; the waste, fraud and abuse; corruption; etc. this fall and in 2012. Neither election can come soon enough for any of us. P.S., while in Santa Rosa, CA, I boycotted San Francisco. I had no desire to go there this time while visiting. I did spend money in Arizona and would have spent more if we weren't just passing through.

YAY! Welcome back Hofferp! I am so glad you made it! Hope you had fun. Glad you boycotted the right place! I do believe people are now just sending money to Arizona.
