Spider-Man Reboot

I've watched the Spider-Man movie franchise since the first one. Although I kinda didn't like Tobey Maguire as Spider-Man, I got used to it since he appeared in all three movies. So I was like, yeah, maybe he really is the best actor for the role. So when it was announced that he won't be Spider-Man in the 4th movie, it felt wrong. I'd miss him being Spider-Man and I wanted to know what happened next, who's the next villain and stuff. So in the fourth movie, Spider-Man reboot, the story will portray a teenage Spider-Man which will be played by (initially thought to be Logan Lerman, the Percy Jackson star) Andrew Garfield. I thought it would feel quite weird since I'm used to Spider-Man being mature in the series and in the earlier movies. So what is your take on the upcoming movie guys? And what about the new star?

well personally i think it is still to soon to remake it. but it will be great if they can pull it off. its not that often that a remake is great when the old one is less than 5 years old. When you look at the hulk and such.

I didn't the remake of the hulk. I didn't imagine Edward Norton to be the Hulk. Oh well, I don't think Spider-Man Reboot's a remake. It has a totally different plot than the first movie. I think the movie will focus on Spider-Man as a highschool student.

When I first heard about this reboot of the series, I was first shocked. I was just getting settled with the stars playing these roles and the movies have done well at the theater and on DVD sales. Plus, there were still so many villains to be used. To go back to the beginning seemed crazy, but then I remembered I didn't care for the 3rd movie so much. I don't know why, but all the characters were beginning to get on my nerves. I don't know if it were the actors or how the characters were written, but I wasn't rooting for anyone at the end. Maybe this refocusing on the franchise was their way of refreshing it in a different way. Also, it seems to be a trend- going backwards. The X-Men are doing a prequel with Professor and Magneto starting the school together. Even Superman is getting a reboot with Chris Nolan behind the helm this time. I'm not sure what to think, but I willing to give it a chance and see how they do this.

Really? They're doing another prequel for X-Men about Professor X and Magneto? Wow! I'd watch out for it. Ok, about spider-man, I actually liked the 3rd movie. I prefer that they continue the series. But maybe spider-man as a teenager would be interesting.
