What should one do if any of your colleque's behaviour is bad towards you. If you not even talk to him, not even share work. Should one respond in the same tone or be calm?

i can relate. i remained calm. im there for work, not for the colleague. so what i do is just work and divert attention, but if i have to face that colleague, just be neutral

You can either try and respond in exactly the same way as he does, or you can ignore him. If this keeps up you need to report him, unfortunately. Good Luck. TATA.

vikas_711, You can always try to find out through another colleague who is on speaking terms with him, just what is happening and the reasons for his animosity towards you. You may want to consider mediating with this person and I am sure he would be able to accept you when he understands you more. However, if he is to be unreasonable and unbecoming in conduct then, I think the best option will be to report him to your immediate superior or human resources or the boss of your company. Take care and have a nice day.

You should just remain calm, try be as understanding as possible. If this is the first time it happened, just let it slide. There probably is a reason why your colleague is acting that way. Maybe the boss got mad at him or something. If this behavior is already frequent, then I suggest talking to your colleague to settle the issue. You might have done something to him, directly or indirectly that set him off to be like that. If you would allow me to give you unsolicited advice, here it is: Always act professionally
