today's so sad. it was supposed to be this happy day because of my achievement in my driving lessons. but after i got home from them, i found my dog dead in their yard at the back of our house. when i saw him not moving, i wanted to think positively. but i really had a bad feeling because he wasn't responding to any of my calls. it was pretty weird because the other dogs were so quiet, they didn't even bark when i was calling out xander's name. then i told them to go wake xander up and play with him, that's when one of the other dogs started barking, then they just all barked. i told my mom that xander wasn't moving, she told me that maybe he's just sleeping. so i asked her why were there flies going around him. that's when she started to panic as well. when we looked through the door hole, we saw that there was dried up blood by his head. earlier, i wanted to think that it was just some dried up rust. my mom called my brother to check on xander. but it was way too late. when he touched him, my brother started crying. xander's body was already rigid. he cried so much because it felt like xander died alone. i didn't go out to see him for the last time. my brother said that his eyes were still open. i don't want to see him that way. thinking about it still makes me cry. just the other day, i answered a discussion here about our dogs. it was about dog names. i described all of our eight dogs there. and i said, the twins:xander and willow. i know that it is not uncommon for dogs to have twins, but these two dogs they seem to know that they are twins. they are together all the time. they sleep side by side and when one is not there, the other one looks for the other. i'm sorry if i'm ranting. i just really, really feel sad about this. RIP xander, we will miss you so much. you are the cutest and sweetest dog. we'll always remember you as our baby dewy.

thanks dsrp82. yep, it's really painful, even if to some people it might seem silly, feeling this way over a dog. i guess it's just that if you love someone, even if that someone isn't a person, it hurts when you lose him or her. we have lost a couple of dogs over the years, but the last one was about three years ago. it doesn't matter how many times you go through it, it's still a painful experience. yes, he was such a beautiful dog. he was really sweet and caring too. and plays well with other dogs.

When I first read the title, I thought that by the time I would my ideas posted, you would have already found that dog but, as I read on in detail, I really felt sad about your loss. You composed it in a very good narrative by the way.. Well, sometimes, things like that just happens to us and its up to us on how we would deal with such an event. (-_- )

thank you ratyz. yup, everything happens for a reason, right? it's just that sometimes, it's hard to accept it. i just have to think positive, and that he is in a better place and at least, he didn't suffer.

OMG I have tearsin my eyes and honestly speaking I do understand the feeling you must be undergoing because just 2 days back my neighbour's dog got choked and believe me I was praying to all the gods that he should come back ok from the hospital as his pulse had gone quite low just thinking about something would have happened to him made me shiver even though he is not my pet but in one of my discussions I had said how close he was to us. Don't worry allamgirl he is gone to a better place and will always be looking at you from there.

yes, thank you havani. i'm still really sad about it. but i know that i have to accept it. sometimes though, i can't help but wonder. there are a lot of stray dogs here in our place. dogs who doesn't love have anyone who loves them. i know it's selfish to think that why can't they just go instead of dogs who has a lot of people who love them.

You gave me and idea to post my dogs photo here like what you did. But it is really so sad to lost a very cute dog which is also part of your family. Her i also had a black dog and i can say that he lives longer than your baby. He is now turning 6 years old in January. I dont know how to convert it to dogs ages. And still thats the thing that im afraid to happen. Im so nervous each time that he went out from our home and go around. I will post it right away.

Yes, that was a very sad day indeed. I also have a black dog named Shandi. She's four years old. We have two dogs who are older than yours, Buffy and Spike. They're both eight years old too. I don't know how to compute years in dog age either, but I know that that's pretty old. They all still look like babies though.

What a sad day for you. It is always sad to lose a pet. I lost my first pet in 2000, my dog, when she was 16 years old. My cat is now 10 years old, and I dread the day when I'll lose him too. We get so attached to our pets, just like they're our family members. What am I saying, they ARE our family members!!! They're our children!!!
