Do you know anybody who gives you something they like for THEMSELVES?

I know someone who is and it is pretty annoying to get something they " supposedly got you" but really like it for themselves if you happen NOT to like it. Makes you want to be sarcastic " is this really for me? or you BOUGHT IT FOR YOU? ( roll eyes) I was given something that she clearly knows and should know by now that Iam NOT into RED. My sister told her to give me another model of that watch for she knew I would like the other one. She declined and pushed through with the model that SHE LIKED. Thinking " if she wont like it, then I can GET IT!" ugh!! Are you not supposed to buy something that you know the receiver would want to get, that is if you have the INTENTION of really GIVING? Its kinda weird to get someone something you like for yourself. Its not proper to think " if she wont like it, I can get it." Then DONT GIVE ALTOGETHER!

i am like that a lot just seem like im giving but im really just keeping it for my self

There is a big difference when
a. you have an intention of giving something then bought something... then later realized you like them and decided not to give it and just keep it to yourself
and!
b. Buying something you really like for yourself to be given to another, and to have the thought of " if you happen not to like it, I can use it" and even have the nerve to tell the person that!
