fresh fruit or prepacked fruitjuices?

sometimes i am not happy buying fresh fruits in the market. even if the fruit is on season, it is not convincing to buy it as it is still expensive. and to prepare it is like some are wasted. so i prefer to buy the prepacked fruitjuices and i enjoy it more most of the time. it is kept fresh in the pack and fridge. it is not like fruits that gets rotten which usually i have no idea what to do but to throw it away.

I always prefer to buy fresh but sometimes it just isn't very fresh tasting. I guess it all depends on the fruit, how ripe it is and where it has come from. I also always have some canned fruit in the house too. Mostly canned peaches and pears.

i was enjoying canned peach but when i came to where i am working now, i found fresh ones and i enjoy it more. lol, i never thought how it looks like fresh. i also enjoy its juice.

Fresh fruit is always better for you healthwise. Fruit juice has a lot of sugar - and I don't mean added sugar. Fruit has natural sugar, and when you juice it, the sugar becomes even more concentrated. And even though people think that fruit juice has nutrients, a lot of the nutrients has been processed away. Eating fresh fruit is better than drinking fruit juice.

My kids love fresh fruit and they also love fruit juice. I just bought a bottle of V-8 brand V-Fusion the other day and my son drank most of the bottle in 2 days. It has fruit and vegetables in it. I sometimes skip the fresh fruit when I go shopping because it just does not look all that appealing.

fresh fruit juice for me. it tastes better (in my opinion that is). but i don't buy it that often. i can't enjoy fresh fruit juice very often because I get hyperacidity from drinking too much juice.

HI Chiumee, For me, I prefer to buy fresh fruit to eat or to make a juice. It feel more fresher and taste superb. Once a while, I will buy prepacked fruit juice from supermarket. But not always. There are lot of tropical fruits in my country. I love to eat mango. It is best to serve in chill either by eating the flesh directly or making a mango juice.

I get fresh fruits only from street merchants, but most of the time i decide to just buy a prepacked juice.

i buy from them as well. because they sell it cheapest. the same fruit for about 5 times more expensive in grocery stores or at least double in the market. but if the fruit is not in its season, i prefer to get a prepacked juice as well.

I don't really care for those juices as they are usually to sweet for my taste. I only buy unsweetened orange or grapefruit juices and make sure they aren't from concentrates. If I'm not sure that I will use them right away I get frozen fruit. When I buy grapes I like to wash them and freeze them. They keep and are nice to have when it is hot. I keep my bananas in the fridge as they last longer that way. The peel will darken and look ugly but the banana its self is still nice. Apples and oranges keep for a good while if kept in the fridge too. I don't buy fresh berries often but get the frozen one for smoothies. The smoothie is a nice pick me up and tastes better than a soda any time. Also make some vegetable smoothies too.

I am actually a little weird when it comes to this. I do not like fresh fruit. I will not eat raw apples, grapes, bananas, berries, or any other fresh fruit. I like apples if they are baked, like in a pie or cobbler, and I will eat bananas if they are dehydrated (I also like home-made banana pudding sometimes), but I will not eat most types of fruits at all. However, I like most types of fruit juices. I love orange juice, grape juice, and apple juice. I like the flavor of a couple of other types of fruits as well, but I will not eat them raw...

I like fresh fruits a lot and I prefer eating fresh fruits especially seasonal fruits like mangoes,oranges, pineapples and melons.But i also like fruit juices which are pre packed and are convenient to use . I normally finish all the fruits I buy because I love fruits...

Fresh fruit is always preferable than packed fruit. Packed fruits are not ripe and they are added with flavor, preservatives so to avoid being rotten. But there are no chances of adding preservatives and flavor to the fresh fruits. Fresh fruits can provide energy which can't be available from the packed fruits.

Unless you know these juices are freshly squeezed most fruit juices are actually made from concentrates. Processing them may destroy some of the vitamins and their health benefits. It is better to get these vitamins directly by eating the fruits. Besides you get their dietary fibers as well. As they say "An apple a day keeps the doctor away".

i love both!fresh fruit juice or the prepacked!i love to make my own mango yogurt juice.it is fresh and not sweet like the prepacked.but most of the time we already eat up the fruits and no more left for making juice purposes.so the prepacked will be the choice but i will only drink a little as they are sweet as i have mentioned above.

if you dont want to consume more time on preparing, go for fresh-packed.but remember fresh fruits are more healthier.u just simply buy a small amount so that it wont go to waste.remember, health is wealth.

Hi chiumee, I prefer to take fresh fruit an hour or more after or before having meal. I like the sense of chewing the fruit in the mouth. Many varieties of fruits are available in the nearby morning market. All of them are sell retail fruits. I'm happy that customers are allowed to pick the good one among them. Of course certain offer is given if buying in great quantity. Anyway I still prefer to pay a bit more to buy the required amount. I consider that fruits are not that fresh if keeping too long in the fridge I would like taking fresh fruit juice if I feel really thirsty after having physical exercise outside. There are stalls offering fresh fruit juice near the recreation park. It's fun as well having friends to chat and to enjoy the delicious fresh fruit juice together at the stall after sweating a lot Happy posting!

I would definitely have to go with the fresh fruit. With fresh fruit I don't have to worry about the extra added preservatives they add into it to last. Prepackaged is a good idea if that fruit is not in its peak season so I have to say I have used that as well.

I do prefer to buy my fruits fresh. However, like you I really hate it when they are wasted for whatever reason! I actually buy a little of each. Usually for breakfast I have a small glass of juice (unless I have oatmeal with fruit on it) then I eat fresh fruit throughout the day. I try to buy things that don't go bad as quickly. I wash my grapes and pull them from the bunch and put them in an airtight container and they seem to last all week at least!

Fresh fruits definitely. Fruits are much easily available than the fruit juices,and also it costs less then them.Also fresh fruits are much healthier from fruit juices.Like fresh oranges also have fiber content in them which is unavailable in its juice form.One should go for the raw material(fresh fruits) and if they are not available then they should look out for fruits juices.

I love fresh fruit because it's fresh and good for my health. But it's true that fresh fruit is not convenient and easily rotton. Therefore I sometimes buy packed fruitjuices. But in my opinion, fresh fruit can provide more nutrition for my body.

i prefer fresh fruits as it has more nutrients and vitamins compared to the prepacked fruit juices which has preservatives in it. nothing beats being natural. =)
