2010 Academy Award Winner for Best Actress Sandra Bullock starred in this remarkable 2010 Academy Award nominee for Best Picture movie, The Blind Side. The movie is an adaptation of Michael Lewis' book entitled The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game, which is about an orphaned boy seeking for love and struggling to know his place and purpose in life. Said boy was adopted by a wealthy family, who included them in their family and helped him achieve his dream: to be the a star Quarterback. Also starring in the film is Tim McGraw as Sean Tuohy, and Quinton Aaron as Michael Oher. So, I've just finished watching The Blind Side, a DVD my brother bought, last night. I thought it was one of those usual family helped orphaned kid, kid discovered talent and became successful, kind of movies. And indeed, it was one of those movies but what separates it from the other movies is that: it has a Big heart. It has depth and a beautifully done storytelling and carefully depicted events from the life of a star football player of NFL, who became successful despite of his traumatic childhood and nomadic-like life as he went from foster home to foster home looking for a family to accept him. It is a really heart-touching movie and I enjoyed watching every single scene. Have watched the movie guys? What do you think about it? If you haven't, I recommend that you go buy that DVD and watch it and don't worry, it will prove that it's worth every cent you spend on purchasing it. =)

Hi jerikjames. I was able to watch Blind Side online last month. Indeed, it was a great film. Sandra Bullock really deserves that Oscar win. I loved the movie because it sent out a message that anyone can be humbled by shocking events. This was a white woman taking in a black kid into their upscale neighborhood and home. At first, people around the family didn't take it lightly that the Tuohy's were doing this. But the family didn't care. Instead, they poured their love on Michael. They showed him those comments didn't matter to them. Others even thought that the family was using Michael. There was a part there where Michael shared this favorite quote, "Courage is a hard thing to figure. You can have the courage based on a dumb idea or mistake. Don't question adults. They make the rules. Maybe they know best, but maybe they don't. That's why courage is tricky. Should you always do what others tell you to do? I mean any fool can have courage. But honor, that's the real reason you either do something or you don't. Hope for courage and try for honor". This was such a nice quote. It's a great film. Watch it guys!

You're right. I think it was an eye-opener for those who still have prejudices about colors. I hope Leigh Anne would serve as a model for the promotion of eradicating discrimination.
