I'm near-sighted and currently wearing transition lenses they work pretty good. Sometimes I just want to see the outside clearly without losing color. My problem is that transition lenses darkens even when the sun is not out like on cloudy days. I'm thinking on switching to clear and just get a clip-on shades. Where can i get them cheap? I have my prescription here with me. Is it cheaper to buy online? Do you think it would be better just to get it done in a known shop for glasses? Or they are just the ssame?

This is just my opinion, but I would be cautious about buying glasses online. If there's a problem with the fit, what do you do? If you buy from someone locally, fitting and any adjustments are part of the deal.

This is the best priced site I found for eyeglasses. Single vision lenses are free and the frames are as low as $7.95. All you need is a current prescription. Good luck! http://www.eyebuydirect.com/glasses_catalog.html
