Did you ever control your dream?

Sometimes when I sleep and have a nightmare or a dream, I know that I'm sleeping and usually if It's a nightmare I try to wake up. I must say, that it usually worked, but a couple of nights ago, I was too tired to wake up from that bad dream, so I thought of controlling it. And yes, before that I tried to pinch myself, but it was useless, I couldn't wake up. Silly how it may sound I even tried to tell the people in my dream, that I'm dreaming, but they would look furious at me... Eventually I managed to run and fly (I think it was my first time flying in a dream) and landed in a safe place, on a green land. So did you ever controlled your dream? Share your experience.

this is a philosophical which has been debated for many years by many scholars.. but until today, no one is really sure if we can really control our sub-conscious dreaming mind when we are sleeping for me, even if i could influence my dream, i'm not sure how i'll be able to prove it

It really does seem philosophical, I tend to think about it everyday now. What adventures would we all have if we could control our sub-conscious, it would be like almost controlling your own world. Not to mention, that you create that world too. Seems to me like many facilities would be, if we could control it.

I think we cannot control our dreams, but we can control our thoughts, when we are in bed to sleep. Sometimes when you think about one thing before you go to sleep, if that thought keeps on upseting you, it`s very possibile that you will dream about it in the night. I think that some dreams are a work of our subconscious, of that things that scare us, or that haunt us, or sometimes, it`s a prediction of what may happen next day.
