Are you comfortable doing things alone?

Have you tried watching a movie alone? I did it, I didn't like it at all. Laughing all by myself seems crazy, lol. Have you tried eating or dining out alone? I did it too, I guess it's okay. What am I to do if I'm hungry? Besides, I could always share a table with a cute guy. haha... Have you tried attending a seminar alone? Yup, I did it too. It's fun you get to choose where you want to sit and you can make lots of friends as well. What I haven't done though is going to a party alone. Gosh, I don't know it's just weird if everybody knows everybody and you don't know anybody except the person who invited you. Mmm, maybe it'll be fun though. I'll try it next. Haha...

Hi dear, I am very much comfortable doing things alone. It is a pleasure. In office, at home and wherever I am, I like my solitude. I like to have dinner with all at home. Otherwise, all my work I prefer to do myself. Going to movies, attend a party, getting an assistance for anything if office etc are prefer to do my onw. I don't know. About this, I have though earlier also. If i need to get a page to be scanned, I will go and do it for myself. I will not ask an office boy to do it for me. But it doesn't mean that I will not do with others. I enjoy the company of these things with others also. But, I prefer the other way. Regards, Thank-s

I agree with both of you. I can depend on me and I can not always do that with others.

I've watched a movie alone and ate by myself in a restaurant. I've even paid for a videoke/karaoke and sang alone. It's not that bad, sometimes there are things I'd just like to do by myself. It's kind of an adventure for me, you know doing stuff which I normally do with others with just myself and no one else.

Hi you two, That's the spirit. In the crowded world we live I think it is good to get in touch with your "SELF" don't you?

Well, that's fun singing in the karaoke. I think I'll try that too. Thank you for sharing. You know, I remember a friend of mine, he said one day he was so stressed so he went to the mall bought a ticket to go somewhere he haven't been before. He said, he did it and he had a blast.

Yes, I can be quite comfortable wathing a movie alone. In fact I tend to do this most weekends as my wife like to work on her computer. I have time to work on mine all week because I work from home, and don't feel like doing too much at the weekends when I can be watching TV and movies. I always tended seminars alone when I was training to be a therapist. I usually had to travel miles away to get to these seminars. But I got to know so many other people there, although I tended not to see them too often after the seminar due to the fact they we lived in different parts of the country. I think all in all, I have always been a bit of a loner and enjoy the experience most times. _Derek

Hi "derek", I completely agree with you. Although I have no problem getting along with others I prefer the freedom to decide things for myself don't you? I guess I am a bit of a loner too.

Yeah, as far as I am concerned, I think I usually want to do things alone, which I think can control my own. I just do not want to be in charge of others, which i think I can feel not so well in my body. So the best way for me to do is just doing things by myself and be alone and be happy.

I prefer to watch a good action movie alone or with another guy who can appreciate the action. Usually the ladies do not like those kind of movies. I like to watch most other kinds of movies with a lady or anyone else. Most of the time I like to watch alone with no disturbances so I can get into the movie's plot. Sometime when watching with another person they distract you right at a crucial point in the movie and you miss something important to the plot. NOT GOOD!

I've always said, you have to know how to have fun w/ yourself before you can have fun w/ others. I love going to the movies w/ someone or even by myself. A good chick fick alone is the best to watch alone! Its fun to me. I also don't mind eating alone. But yes I'm definitely commfortable doing things alone. Thanks for sharing!!

I prefer to do things with people, I don't really enjoy being on my own with certain things as I get more enjoyment from being around people. I like to see my children enjoy themselves as this brings the biggest smile onto my face and although I could happily go to the cinema alone, I would always choose not too. On holiday I like to play on fruit machines on my own, also watch football but there's really a limit.

I am actually used to doing things alone. I am not used to having anyone to help me do most things, and I spend a lot of evenings here at the house alone with my three puppy dogs while my wife is over at her dad's house taking care of him. I actually like being alone most of the time, but it is nice to have some help with some things when I need help...

Yeah it is nice to be alone. I spend so much time dealing with people while I am at work that I don't want to be around too many people once I get off work and get out of there. I prefer to just sit at home relaxing with my puppies...

Hi goldereagle, I enjoy solitude, especially after a long hard day on the job. I find myself turning off all the noise makers, such as the televisions and radio. Silence is priceless sometime when you want to think deeply about life or just unwind from the woes of the world around. Having no children in the house has made it a little easier for me to have the solitude I crave after work. I do sometimes like to be with friends to celebrate one occassion or another, but once that is over, home I go to a quiet and peaceful home.

Sure, I do lots of stuff alone. It doesn't mean that I need somebody to be there with me it just means that I'm capable of handling it on my own. I don't look at people who do stuff alone as lonely. We all need some time to ourselves, we are connected in this world but each of us needs some space to think, pray and discover things on our own. We can share the experience later but we must find out on our own.

I haven't tried watching a movie alone yet, though I'm sure I'll come out of it alive, cause I love being alone. It's not that I'm weird, it's just that I love the silence and the time when I can just think to myself and just watch people around me, it's almost already a hobby. LOL. And I would never go to a party alone. Hehehe. I think I'm too shy to talk to other people and make friends, the same goes for seminars. Hehehe.

Honestly the chores I do at home I enjoy doing them with my kids. It becomes meaningful and just as interesting. I just can't imagine doing them alone. The difference is most apparent if any one of them is away for one reason or another. The only thing I wish I could have done alone are some of the projects we sometimes have to handle at work as a small committee. Getting everybody around to do things as assigned sometimes does not work out as planned. As a result there are delays and lots of frustration. And that means we normally have to burn the midnight oil especially when a deadline has to be met.

I know what you mean. I used to work for a major electronics company and there were times when I wished we did not have work things out as a committee when one or two people could have solved the whole working situation without alot of confussion.

Why would you want to do fun and important things without your partner? That the reason you take a partner, so you do not have do things alone isn't it?

I tried them all alone and it was really fun.I'm not really into making friends but i'm into the adventure of being just myself without having to adjust with whomever I am with.If you think that you are being selfish in being with noone then i think it is actually fun.

Yes...:D I have done things alone and I find nothing wrong with it.:D Unlike other people, I don't get the feeling that there is something wrong or that I feel sad. But of course having companions can be fun too...:D I guess, we take things differently. :D Oh well, I'm not really into guys for now. Haha. I'm disinterested.

I feel more comfortable to do things alone than to do in a group. We don't have to asked permission to anybody if we do our works alone,No one will feel bad to us even if we make mistakes. But if we do the work in a group than there is a chances of creating misunderstanding among the friends. So i wish to be alone and do the works alone.

Yes I tried a lot, sometime when I am alone in home , I do wrong things because no one is there to guide me isn't? And I laugh myself. When I am alone at home I used laugh for my silly mistakes which I have done knowingly.

Hi there,i don't like eating or going out alone. i find myslf rushing to return home or place where my friends are. But there are moments when i want to be left alone, specially when i am sad or angry. i think if someone come and disturb me at that particualr moment, i can get very angry. :)
