Nowadays with the latest gadgets and mobile phones with cameras has made it easy to take pictures whenever we are and whenever we want. So I always take pictures of myself and my children very often. But I always remember the superstition in which my mother-in-law believed. She always told us that if we take too much pictures we may die early. She never took pictures for fear of that superstition...yet she died in 68 yrs. Do you believe in this superstition?

correction " IF I will follow each and every superstition there is in the world, then I may never ENJOY life anymore." superstitions are old school.Usually, its only the Elders who believes in those.

I do not believe in superstition, of any kind. All people take pictures for immortalizing the sweet moments in their lives,or places where they have been, but it would be stupit to think that is a reasons to die early, in my opinion.

I love taking pictures and I had two cameras lately but they both are not functioning properly now, they freeze when I try to switch it one, so now I am wishing to buy a MP4 touchscreen with camera so that I can bring it with me everytime. My grandmother said that it is not good to take pictures so much for someone because he/she will die shortly and when i used to take pictures of my cat she was very angry at me and when One day my cat was disappeared she said it was because I took so much pictures of him, and it also happened with many cats at home and two dogs so I prefer to take pictures of only people now.

I enjoy taking pictures. i always have. Pictures help you to preserve so many memories. It is fun to look at pictures much later and still have the feeling that you had when the picture is taken.

That's the first time I ever heard of that superstition. I don't think I believe that. Or any superstition for that matter. I like taking pictures because I want to immortalize specific moments in my life. I like to browse through the pictures every now and then and reminisce about the times those pictures were taken.

I love taking pictures with my Nikon D3000, it's like more than a hobby for me. I even go out and sleep with it just to make sure I wont miss any good shot. "Photo's are the soul of History" ;)

I didn't used to take pictures but one day while I was driving, I saw the orange setting sun in front of me. It was beautiful. I wanted to take a picture of that so badly but I couldn't. That's when I realized that moments in life are valuable and they won't be able to come back. Pictures allowed me to keep the moment in a tangible form and look back on it whenever I want to. I always carry my camera with me now.

I do like to take pictures. I like using my phone which has a camera option on it too. It makes it so much easier to take photos of my kids when they do silly things from anywhere that we happen to be. When we go on vacations my husband is the one that always seems to be taking the photos. That's fine by me though. I never heard of the superstition that your mother-in-law told you about. I know of plenty of people who have taken a lot of pictures and lived to be very old. So no, I don't believe in that one.

I am a pictureholic! I absolutely love to take pictures especially of events that happen in my life and my dogs and family. Although some of the best can be flowers, clouds, etc. I have a fairly high-tech camera that I adore and would never trade for anything. I dont believe in that superstition, but thats just my opinion. I definitely dont believe that it steals a piece of your soul either. Pictures are the best way to preserve our memories of our lives so that we can reminisce and share with others.

I hope not! I am like a paparazzi the amount of pictures I take! I just think there is so much beauty in everyday life, we need to capture it to remind us how lucky we are to live were we do! I take pictures daily, and love it. I usually get my photos processed into posters and prints to sell and share!
