I am a Filipina who can speak English and a little of Chinese, Korean, Japanese, French, and Deustch. But I would like to pursue to learn one language and speak it very fluently like English. THough it is difficult because when i got no one to speak to use such language tendency is I will forget. Like Francais, that when i broke up with my bf, I wasn't able to use it anymore. I am thinking to pursue Deutsch since my bf is German, but their language is really difficult. What do you think is the best language to learn? What is the most helpful one?

Hi hushi, When things come down to learning it is always a difficult task specially Language learning. The language that we are very much fluent is the first language or the mother tongue. This happens so because when you are still a child rather than learning a language you acquire them. If you are focused to a multi lingual environment you would pick up all of them if are in constant interaction with the speakers of those languages. This is because acquiring is an involuntary action. Learning, when you grow up becomes difficult for this is now involuntary. For me, since English is/was not my first language nor I had English speaking environment I had to learn it and in the initial stage I found it difficult though now have gained control over it. If given a choice I would love to learn Spanish. Do not know how easy or difficult it is but one thing I can tell you that English is not so an easy language to learn. Pls comment back.

One silly mistake was there. As I had said acquiring a language is involuntary action, learning is a voluntary one. I had written both involuntary. Sorry for this typos. And thanks a lot hushi for the BR

Hey hushi22, in my opinion, I think the best language to learn would be Hindi. Yes the Indian language. When you learn Hindi, not only can you speak Hindi, but you can also understand Punjabi, Urdu, Gujarati and many more! I personally think learning Hindi would be best, but others might find it that learning European languages may be more beneficial. Even learning North Asian Languages isn't a bad decision, it's just that I feel learning South Asian languages is more beneficial. maybe because I'm from there! Anyways, hope that helps you out. Have a great day and good luck with your earnings! Punjab911

If there is one language that Filipinos can easily learn aside from English it is none other than Spanish. Many of the words that are used in everyday conversation in Filipino actually have their origins in the Spanish language. It is for this reason that in case you want to be fluent in another language I would strongly suggest that you try Spanish.

Hi hushi22, to me learning whatever language other than our mother tongue depends on whether it's practical to use the learned language. I realize that I would forget about the language learned gradually if it's rarely being used. Just similar as your situation you speak the two respective languages for the communication with the men who speak their respective languages, French language and Dutch language. I could manage to use Chines and Malay well. English plays an important rule online and offline therefore I have great interest to learn it and enhance it. The language which we need it badly in our daily life all the time is the best language to learn I suppose. Happy posting and have a nice day

You are young enough that languages are still probably easier to learn than for someone of my age. However, I have always had a problem with languages since I was born with a bit of messed up hearing to language skill connection. I was very late to start trying to talk and when I did no one could understand me; my brain garbled what I heard into something else. So just learning to speak my own native language was not easy. I am fine with it now and was doing well by the time I finished grammer school since I had speech therapy there. But the times I have tried to learn other languages in college, etc. have not worked out. If I could I thing maybe Chinese would useful but it would probably be impossible for me.

I would say Spanish but then it may depend on where you are. Where I live there are a lot of Hispanics. German would be pretty cool. That's the language I would most like to learn. I study World War II so I already know some German words.

wow, You can speak so many languages. I really admire you so much. I tend to learn one language which is the most useful for your work or your daily life. After all, The time we have is so limited that we just focus on the most important thing. As for the language which is easy to learn. It depends on whether you will work hard or not. That's my opinion.
