What is your purpose on adding friends on mylot?

A few days ago,i received a pending friend request.After i saw that,i approved the friend.But a few minutes later,the friend send me an advertisement on a website.
So i want to know your ideas about the purpose on adding friends on mylot?

my reason is if i notice they start up good discussions i add them,
