I responded to a discussion about Blu Ray Movies, commenting I have yet to buy one of these players or one of the discs! Which led me to wonder,How Much entertainment stuff that is junk, obselete,or obscelescent do YOU still have around your house? I'm reluctant to change over to Blu Ray as yet, because I'm still buying regular DVD's and have only recently mothballed My VHS Machine, and invested more money in duplicating some of my fave movies, replacing VHS for DVD.. I'd bought a good little DVD player that will play multiple region discs, and it's been gathering dust since I got a DVD recorder,(and have only one TV set..)how about You?!

Same here I have not gone Blu Ray yet either and I don't think I will until DVD goes the same route as VHS. On the upside DVDs will continue to drop in price so all is good. My stereo still has tape decks on it, something you don't really see much these days and I also have my Sony walkman from back in the day which still works. I still have heaps of albums on cassette which I will never get rid of.

I no longer have a mains powered cassette deck at home..(in working condition,anyway..!)I have a bunch of cassettes still around (going back to my teens in some cases) ,both of my own and belonging to my family as they went off to Uni and moved away, leaving stuff behind..I ended up buying a new walkman not long ago to have a go at transferring some of it to my computer..I just don't like dumping stuff that's still perfectly functional! I still have a couple of Commodore C64's in a cupboard (my first 'puter, and it wasn't for the want of trying I couldn't get online with them!)-had to wait til I got my first PC for that to happen..

I could never get rid of my cassetes even though I have replaced a lot of them on CD. The C64 good times, that was the first computer I had as well. How did we ever deal with the loading times back then

I had been selling dvds and cds on ebay until the last couple years. I can't say I was super successful as I still have a whole bunch of dvds in my inventory after I stopped selling on ebay. (Ebay just wasn't worthwhile after all the fee increases.) Even though I saw the change over to Blu Ray, I never got into it. So I will try to move all my inventory through other channels.

Doesn't sound too good about Ebay not working out to be a worthwhile way of selling your stuff...Looks like you have a load of stock taking up space..At least it's not movies on betamax you're trying to shift! Would taking a site at car boot sales be an option for You?
