i have an epiphone les paul 100 with a bad amp and an ibanez bass with a bad amp. i don't know if i should i get a bass amp or guitar amp. i like to play guitar more because it takes more skill, but I also like bass because no one really plays it so it gives me more of an opportunity to be in a band. do you guys think i should get a bass amp or a guitar amp?

I would get a guitar amp, but that is just me. But what ever you do, do not play the bass through the guitar amp. (guitar amps, aren't made to handle the bass vibrations). But your right, Bassist have a better chance to be in a band, due to the lack of bass players, but if you can play guitar, you can play bass. And usually, sometimes, some bands, when they get a bass player, they will let them use an old bass amp that some one has in the band, to let the bass player rehearse with.

That's a good point. I'm probably going to go with a bass amp though just because I broke my other one and now I have no amp to practice with. But thanks for your input though, much appreciated.
