Indian first innings finished for just 276. viru was the only player batted in first innings. he scored a century of 109. now following on and facing the defeat. india is now 181/5. india is still trailing by 60+ runs. but that not the matter even if they avoid innings defeat, they will be facing defeat some way. sachin played a remarkable innings under pressure. but mallinga was superb and took 3 importan wickets. gambir was a failure again and i think that made the real difference. now murali will surely get 800 wickets if others dont pick all. but will india be defeated by innings, or will india make lakans to bat once more? or will the rain come?

ya its bad performance from indian batsman. main factor is gautam gambir didnt play well. his was a failure in both innings. and indian bowling was poor, thats why india is in this situation. indian bowlers accepted to score 50 by the lankan tail enders. that is bad for a no:1 test team. now india is surely facing defeat, but i think that it will not be an innings defeat.

Hi, against a huge total that the Lankan's players had put for India and India on the other side struggling in the batting department too is a matter of shame. Just imagine what would happen if Shewag had not score a century? Why are the bunch of money mongers are there leaving Sachin and a few others. Better they call cricket a day and engage themselves on TV adds. Of course when they are out of the field not even a goat would ask for a cup of milk. lol I think this is the time Dhoni quit his captaincy and go to Honolulu for honeymoon. and yes I would be much happier if Sri Lanka win today. All the best to them and to Mutali too.

Thank you venky for the BR. And look finally what took place. As I had predicted SL made it to victory all the way. They deserved it. And what a historic end to Murali's career. Thanks again.

I think India was naive to loose three wickets on the stroke of lunch with some loose shots. Then again at the close of the day loosing Dravid, Sachin and then Yuvraj was really calamitous for India. I think all rests now on the shoulders of VVS and Dhoni. We need a special innings from these two to really save this match. They need to bat out at least one session or maybe two sessions to save the match!! Cheers! Ram
