I never update my profile

I have a new earning site that looks good, but I do not have HTML to put it in a sortie, only a referral link. It is one of those that everyone who goes after you goes in under you. I cannot figure out how to put it in my profile. I am too hot to think right now and will go get something to drink and come back. How do you deal with frustration? I think I need to just cool off.

hi gardengerty my son was just here and the only problem with my not getting my emails to send out was a damned period. a period in my email user name where it did not belong .that was what messed up my whole day and I could not figure out what was wrong. now my son just left, bless his heart, and he found it and made me do the work of righting it too, He also bought me a new telephone, and a flashlight, my roomie has two large walkers and at night our room is so dark and I tripped over the walker and started to fall but caught myself.so a flashlight is precious to me. You see I have an artificial shoulder joint and if I fell it might come apart and that would mean hospitals and surgery and no I already had that four years ago.

I have an artificial joint in my big toe since the surgery. It still is sore. I have made the mistake with putting a period some place it did not belong as well. Please do take care and do not fall. Tell your son we all say congrats on a job.

ohyes GardenGerty I sure am careful as I have read that the elderly fall more because they have tripped over something in a walk way.I am almost paranoid on it but not quite. It seems that a lot of diabetics have a balance problem. there are some good exercises on the net to improve your sense of balance. so I will trythem soon.

That is the site, I do not know if it is legit. I am on a new social site that has groups and I joined under a friend there. Since it is free, I did not mind signing up. Where did you hear about it?

I understand about that. Wish us all good luck. I do have some other things I am part of. None of them earns a living, yet. I found MyLot when I was underemployed about four years ago. I can vouch for the honesty and integrity here. Since it was my first earning site I am kind of partial to it.

I go work it off in the garden, or I sit in the shade and look at my plants. My garden is just little but it is amazing what is growing in a small place, and now that I'm getting a reputation in the neighborhood for being a plant nut, people drop off all sorts of unwanted or non-functioning plants to see if I can fix them. The one I got last night was a whopper! It was a rosemary bush that had been pulled out of an empty lot someone is moving into, and left to die. But a neighbor helped me drag it home and saw it into smaller pieces to see if I can make new plants from them. The original plant was much too big for my space, plus far too heavy to even lift.

Wow, that is huge! I used to get given dying plants. I have a small, potted rosemary. I think I need to trim it up pretty, though. I went to get a cool drink, ended up making supper for my crew and then two cats sat on me and made me take a nap.

When my sister lived with me we discovered that cats bring naps. Ours would lay in a center medallion of a rug and then come lay on us and we would fall asleep. We decided that that was the nap portal.

Oh how I wish I could help you but I can't. I don't know how to do too much stuff on the computer that deals with HTML. It is hot, isn't it? Just go and cool off for a while. I don't deal well anymore when I'm frustrated. The best thing to do is what you did...walk away and come back later. Otherwise, you'll be ready to throw the computer out the window. I've been there a million times over these last few months.

I cooked and made supper and need to go do a product review on Gather. It is pretty certain I will get some unemployment, and that will help, but I need to do what I can to earn here as well as on some other sites. Someone told me that if I would write one article a day for hubpages, by the end of the year I would have a decent income from them. I may try that as well.

Hi GG,...the only thing I ever read about Hubpages is that it is not worth the time and effort involved. I guess it would depend on what you're going to write about and how many people view it (SEO). I haven't checked that site in ages but maybe I will. I keep hearing that Gather is good but I'm not familiar with it, maybe I'll check that one out too, lol! I'm not savvy on all the new technical stuff and that's usually what people are looking for. The only thing I can actually write about is my life and stuff like that, not so interesting to people. Hope it all works out for you!

I sure can't help you with this one, as being a newbe, I've yet to figure out the sortie thing. I tried adding something last night but it didn't take, so I'll play with it another day. Frustration and how I handle it? Not very well, hahaha! I write a poem or go mow the lawn!

For HTML there is an extra step. One of my friends on here has mentioned several times how to do it, and I used to always go back to the discussion. The trick is to hit "enter" before you hit "save changes", and sometimes you still have to do it several times before it works. I need to write more and mow more, but I also have a product review to write for Gather.

Thank you, I did figure it out earlier and have added some things to my profile, so that makes me happy... I love learning new things, hahaha! I need to get to Gather and do some commenting, I've been sorta hibernating this week so I am way behind all over the networks.

Hi, Gerty, what is your new earning link? Is it a penny site? I have finally found a good way to make money in this economy but I am still looking for something else as I like variety in my life. If it is not a penny site I would love to hear about it. You mentioned HTML I can not believe that all these years on computer I still don't know much of anything about how to do things. Can you send me the link here at MyLot? Do we have a message box for private mail?

I find that sometimes the room the computer is in gets hot, and then there goes my cool, I end up being a little snappy if not feeling sick. I usually end up turning the fan on though, but usually not before I get mad at something. Html is easy yet complicated, I am sure you'll figure it out.

I signed up under you Ms.Gerty.^_^ The site is rather new and Im curious to know how the testing for websites would play out. Hopefully, this program is a keeper. As for frustrations, I would try to forget about it by doing other things or by walking it off. After a needed break to get a good perspective, I go back to it and try again until I get it, or until I need another break. Thanks for sharing!^_^

Thanks. Since it does not cost anything, I do not mind sharing it with my friends. I got into a good one from a friend here and on that one I am getting lots of other suggestions, not all of them a good fit.I have not seen you around much lately.

Yeah, Im at that part of life thinking about what to do next while trying to fulfill obligations to the parents. The fulfilling part is a huge factor on my online time. I try to respond when I can but I do read all mail from myLot.

I feel ya GardenGerty. When I get frustrated, I get hot start sweating like a hog too. I have to stop, get a drink, wipe my face with a towel, relax for a minute and then get back to the stressful task. That is how I deal with it too. Eventually I find the solution. Good Luck I know you can do it.

Hi GardenGerty, nice to know that you have a new earning site but the frustrating thing is that you have not yet found a clue as to how to put it on your profile page. right. On such issues you better contact either Mykl_J or misdianait. They would guide you through. They are good at such things.

I may talk to them. I actually got that one up, but realized that there is another one that is refusing to comply. Yes, I learn a lot from those two members. I have some other suggestions here as well.

Hi Gerty ! I am making purses at this point. I had another boo boo as I received a new sewing book and decided it was time to read directions LOL but something went wrong......I tried and I tried and the purse just would not work ! Grgggrrrr I threw up my hands and walked away and when I came back I read the directions again( I usually don't :) but the book had left out one complete piece of material........I'd been working short a piece.....bad thing is, I should have known better. I had to lay it down a while ago as I had to piece together some odd pieces of material to make the purse work. I'm making as much as I can to go to craft fairs, flea markets, etc for extra money. I hope I can get enough projects going right to do this. Even a few extra pennies a day would help. But, it's late and I am tired and sure 'nuf if I keep it up I'm going to boo boo again. So, back to the puter LOL Hey, what do you sew ? Get it unburied and let's you and I make some things together :) Wouldn't that be nice to do? I'd love it! Ok, Gerty I am now officially off to bed ! Now, you unbury that sewing machine !

I feel your frustration my friend...meantime, I find it helps if in the heat of summer I sit with a fan in close proximity blowing air on me. I also keep the curtains mostly drawn to keep the worst of the heat out and I create some cross ventilation with slightly open windows to keep the air circulating and cool. As for your profile it may be like mine and doesn't function properly. I sought some help a few months ago and a couple of tech savvy chaps went into my account, (I gave them the key) but they were as helpless as I when they tried to add html to sorties in my profile. Apparently it's a fact that some of the profiles do not function as intended.
