Hello meksilent the program antivirus that I use is the avast, is free and you can unload it of Internet, prove it for 30 days and then if they decide to continue using it, always gratis, you must order an e-mail and they grant a key to you in order that you could use it for 1 year, always they can renew it for 1 year following this procedure. Here I spend the link to you: http://avast.softonic.com/descargar

That is the download page for protuguese. Just go to the main page (www.avast.com) it should select your country and language by your IP and you can then pick the proper download link from there. No matter which one you pick, you should also select a decent adware/malware program to work in conjunction with the anti-V software.

I use avg, superantispyware, and Microsoft Security essentials. The last one is from Microsoft and is so-so at dectecting viruses but good at removing them. Superantispyware works on most bad "stuff" but the removal process is slow. AVG comes in free and proffesional. The free one is limited but it works. I would recommend using superantispyware and MSE to remove your trojans.

yes. Nothing bad will happen. It is perfectly safe. At least, the 3 I listed above are safe.

The ones I listed above do not have problems. They do not slow down the system a lot. I can safely run them on my computer and they only take 1% of my RAM combined.

My brother-in-law seems to be happy with the free version of AVG. Also, there is another free one called Malwarebytes. Both can be on your computer at the same time and can be found by doing a search.

I like a lot of Norton Anti Virua, but it is not free, the best free antivirus for me is Avast or Avira. Take a look at this link to see some Anti Virus. www.download.cnet.com But i think today is better you have a Internet Security Software (Anti Virus, Anti Spyware, Anti Malware, Firewall, ... All in one), but the problem is that all good Inter net Security Software is paid.

In the past I used AVG free and Super Anti Spyware and was quite happy with them. Then recently I got a worm that avg was not able to get rid of. I downloaded malwarebytes and that seems to have cleared up my worm problem, I hope. Now I have all three, and there doesn't seem to be any problem having them together.
