Ajanta Mendis and Dilhara Fernando will play in the second test match against India. Mendis return to the squad due to the retirement of murali. Fernamdo will replace Malinga who has been rested for the second test . In first match Murali and Malinga combined to take 15 wickets out of 20 wickets of india . So it will be a drawback for thelankans. But Mendis performed well in the Warm up match against india . Hope he will perform well.

no murali and no mallinga, its good situation for india. we should utilise this situation. surely india will bounce back in next match and display a good performance. but i will be very happy if indian bowling improve, but that will happen rarely.

I had expected Mendis to be back for this match now that Murali has retired. But if Malinga is out of the match then that is a big blow for Sri Lanka as he is a handful when the ball begins to swing. Fernando is more of a hit and miss player who can either be very good on his day or really poor on other days. I think this is a good chance for India to claw back in the series, but the problem is the Indian bowling which seems to be very weak. Cheers! Ram
