Poor Australia......Struggling in England,Lost one more now.......

The tour of Australia to England was a great failure.
Australia were unable to won any of the series played there.
After the loss in ICC WC their tour started .
FIrst it was England who beated Australians in the ODI series(3-2) by winning 3 maches consecutively.
After that they lost to Pakistan in the T20 series 2-0.
Then in the MCC SPIRIT OF CRICKET TEST SRIES against Pakistan.
After winning the first test they failed miserabily in the second test.
Thus that series ended 1-1.
So its totaly very poor perfomance from the Australians in last few months .

ya it was a failure for australia.
this season didnt work well for them.
but in the end of the england tour they got some moral victory over pak as pak struggled to win the test.
but as you have said lets hope that india will not make the aus into form again.

ya this season for them was complete failure.
now in test they are at no:4.
ya ,the last match was goo and thrilling one .
if aus have scored 20 runs more ,they would have won the match.
so its a moral victory for them

I think Australian team is now running on fighting spirit and not on real talent. Ever since the likes of Warne, McGrath and Gilli retired, the cutting edge seems to be off for Australia. They are having to depend on the likes of Watson and North to bowl and win them matches. Johnson has had a forgettable year as the leader of the attack. Bollinger and Hilfenhaus have been good in patches, but not very consistently effective.
I think the Aussies bench strength is now exposed. The upshot of this loss is that they slip to 4th in the ICC rankings!!

ya you are correct,
after the retirement of some key players like, hayden, gilly,mcgrath,warne,the aus is slowly and steadlt going down.
actually it was the team of steve waugh which was performing,
ponting just given the captaincy, the work was already done by steve.
now its the time for ponting to build up the new team, let he show his strength as a real captain.
