Do you think more states and UT should be created?

We have peoples groups demanding separate administration in different parts of India. But not all peoples groups demand such separate administration. But those regions or peoples groups that demand such arrangement, do you think it's better to give in? Don't you think such arrangement will bring more peace? What do you say?

no, i am against it.
there are already lot of states and union teritory.
and we are divided a lot even befor independance and after independence.
nations like pak, bangladesh, nepal all got divided from india, its ok, the situation was different.
but now why we should be divided more?

actually we are divided a lot, even in the states there are districts which is snother divisions and there after many more divisions, its for effective ruling.
but now many states wants to have more divisions on the basis of language, caste etc, what is the need for that?
i think behind all these is the politicians who are greedy to become chief ministers or the one who want more power. these politicians are exploiting the public more than what the british did against us.

Divisions into different countries is different from division into more federal units i.e. states. I cannot say for all the demands at various levels. But I felt that generally speaking that may bring more peace.
Generally one of the reasons why people fear is that if such division occurs their interest will be hurt. So these people don't think about the people who are suffering and not getting their due share of government money. On the other side politicians wanting to become CM is also there. No doubt about that.
If we look at real issue I felt that Gorkhaland deserves to be given. Since they are under West Bengal govt they argue that they don't get their due share. I think there is truth in that. Unless Gorkhas and Bengalis separate, the minority may continue to suffer. In Manipur the Nagas want separation from the Manipuri. I felt that if such demand is met surrounding region will be lot more peaceful.

Well said, cachehit! Peace is so essential for developing economy. Without peace nation will just continue to waste its resources to maintain peace. Therefore,we should go for political arrangement that will generate peaceful living. That's the way I see things!

No. Never it work out. The aim of those group people is not to get separate union or administration. Its to break India and to create fights between two groups and to spoil nationalism. If we agree to cut India into pieces, they wont stop. they'll encourage more people to demand the same partition. It never end up.

Well, if the aim is about breaking up India, that's a different matter. I am talking about creation of federal units within India i.e. states and union territories. Btw, if any group, whether it's Kashmir or Nagaland or Assam or Manipur, want to break away from India I would rather engage with them to convince them to stay within the Union. I just don't think the rest of Indian don't have sufficient right to force them to stay. One cannot force any ethnic group to be part of Indian Union. If they don't want to be part of India because they felt that they were forced to be part of India, we just can't force them. We can, however, through love and respect win them over.

more divisions is not affordable.
if we divide for a minority, then the other will also come up with the same argument.
if the government are making divisions it shows their failure in governing.
you are tempted to go for more divisions because you are governing was not effective.
its ver shame to be got more divided instead of getting united.

Yes, it shows that governance is bad and corrupt, and only certain group of the people get benefited. And if such corruption and prejudice will continue why on earth should we let those suffering continue to suffer?

We already have a lot of states right now and wanting more is not good. I am afraid no one believes in United we Stand anymore. It's each man for himself. Divisions have already been plenty. Based on caste creed race and discrimination we have been divided already and i don't think we can be divided anymore.
All should be trying to united India and not divide it more already. But it's easier said than done.
