Good memories last a lifetime. Traveling to sought-after destinations is always something to look forward and more often than not becomes a treasure chest of unforgettable experiences that create a mark, sometimes even a milestone, in our lives. The Island of Mindanao is the best place of my childhood memories. and I cherish every nook and cranny. I get hurt deep inside when I hear negative comments about Mindanao and its provinces. But I can't do much about that. For me, it is a very healing experience to share the bounties of the land of my birth with everyone, locals and foreigners alike. For despite the sometimes unfavorable image hounding Mindanao, there's just no stopping it's people to resolve to preserve and promote the island's vast natural resources and valued cultural traditions.

I love to be on Dakak with my family soon! Haha... I just hope I could save up more than the budget so that we could enjoy the trip more. I heard there are still lots of travel destinations in Mindanao. However, I cannot really erase the fact that there might be rebels around which makes lots of foreigners to be really scared of coming to your place.

Hello there, I am now living here in Mindanao.... Actually, not Mindanao, but some part of Mindanao have some issues... So it is wrong to assume that mindanao is dangerous for tourist but actually the best place when you visit Philippines, there you can find the highest pick of the Philippines, there you can taste the finest taste of fruits, especially the Durian and Pomelo......... There is no place like Mindanao...

I remember traveling to Siargao. I really love that place. It is so quiet that you will forget all the negative stories about Mindanao. In fact, I remember when I was there there was a coup attempt in Manila. And I remember watching that news with the locals. One of the locals said, "Look how chaotic Manila is. That is the reason why I don't wanna go there." It is a bit ironic to think that a local from a land that is supposed to be daunted by attacks and terrorism could say that. But it is really true, in the case of Siargao. The surroundings are peaceful and everyone seems to know each other. It seems crimes are non-existent in that area.
