I hope that you will be aware of some emails that are circulating and purporting to be from Verified by Visa, claims that, due to multiple failed attempts to access the recipient's account, the account holder must confirm account information within 48 hours or the account will be suspended indefinitely. In fact, the email is a phishing scam designed to steal private information from recipients. Those who follow the link in the scam email will be taken to a bogus webpage that asks them to provide credit card details and other personal information via a fake form. Please stop whatever course of action recommended in the email, ignore and delete the email. Visa will not send Visa card holders unsolicited emails asking them to provide personal and financial details. In fact, Internet users should be very cautious of any email that asks them to follow a link or open an attachment in order to provide private information. Please share if you have receive different versions from the screen shot below. Ref: http://www.hoax-slayer.com/105-6.shtml

I got something similar to this in the morning. It said "financial aid" etc... well you had to call this number then punch in all the important information. The email tried to be official but the thing that caught my attentioni was that it came from London. I live in the U.S.! I don't pay attention to anything that says I have anything free since the majority I think of them as scams. Before it used to be through regular mail but now they use the internet...

Yes Sky, such phishing e-mails are found very often in my inbox aswell as spam box! Not only relating to credit cards, but also e-mails asking for PayPal log in, bank log in and so on are also among these scam list! PayPal has declared against such scam e-mails, but still, I suspect some people may be falling to the victim of these scam programs. We all must be very careful of this scam incident! Thanks for this nice information!!
