I too prefer a walk to jogging and working out at the gym.I can walk for 45 minutes to an hour without strain.I think its an ideal way to exercise and keep fit.Walking they say is a part of the aerobic schedule and good for the heart and ailments like diabetes.

I prefer brisk walking too especially in the morning. It gives a lot of benefits. Aside from the cardio exercise that I do while brisk walking, I am able to breath fresh air too and benefits from the Vitamin D from the early morning sunshine as well.

i prefer brisk walking/jogging because i don't have extra money to be able to workout at the gym. hahahaha. . i think these two activities are more enjoyable and fun rather than going to the gym. in addition, i also don't have spare time to go to the gym because of my hectic schedule.

Yes going to the gym entails more expenditure.Walking or jogging will do the trick.I find a brisk walk more pleasurable. One has to make time from the busy schedule for all these activities. If hard pressed it is difficult to spare time.

I think both are nice options, and I do both from time to time. It kind of depends on my mood.

I will always prefer jogging/walking. Right now I'm doing couch to 5k run program its a 9 week program design to make me a runner I'm on my week two. Goal is to run 25 minutes or 5k without stopping. But I'm also planning to go to the gym because i need to build muscle and weight lifting is the best way to do it.. probably next month

I'll say it depends on how many time I have for my work out. I would prefer the gym if I had 2 hrs extra but will go for a brisk walk when I got less than 2. :)

Being free or having time on your side is an important factor.Yes if you have adequate time on hand you can go to the gym.Otherwise you can go for a walk.Commuting to and fro from the gym takes up time in addition to exercising. We have to take that into account before deciding on the type of exercise.

Walking has its own benefits.Working in a gym helps build muscle.I think the combination of a brisk walk and gym is ideal. We can build the necessary stamina and muscle.
