I want to start more discussions, giving me more responses to comment on, but I am finding it hard to start a good discussion. What do you think makes a good discussion? What is a common feature of discussions with lots of responses?

A good discussion should raise a query which touches the other person to respond.More than the topic it is the way we put our view across. It has to be an appeal to which fellow mylotters respond. An informal query which seeks a response is i feel better appreciated.

I guess discussions about common experiences tend to become more popular, because more people are interested. Formality sometimes can have negative impacts, because it makes you less friendly.

Secret tip: Make sure Diana ( You know who I mean..) gets enthusiastic about your discussion and it'll surely be one heck of a fun responding back and forward discussion, mostly.
