Do you think there would be a age limit to having children?

I have noticed that they are still having a lot of teen moms but it seems like the new trend is having children when you are past the age of 35 where they say it is more of a risk. I even saw a lady on the TV that had a baby at 76, how do you feel about that ? When are you too old to have a baby?

Personally I dont think bearing children should have an age limit. As long as you can provide for you child and make sure they are safe and secure and have tons of love that's what matters. Altough I think that after the age of 50-55 is just being selfish. My reason for that is because a child expects you to at least see them grow up and graduate high school and succeed in life. Having a child at 55, the parent would be 73 or so when they graduate. I know exactly what show you are speaking of I saw the 76 year old on tv myself. That is just rediculous. That mother wont even see the child leave the 6th grade!

I do agree with you and that was the thought I had when I saw the lady 76 having a baby. Not even to add the risks to her as well as the baby

now there's a pragmatic point of view that i haven't thought of. even if the pregnancy and the baby is healthy. there is still the fact that a 76 year old probably won't be around 2 see their grand children. but then again, you never know. a 70-ish year old person could live another 20 years. that has happended, too.

For me I knew that I wanted to have all of my children by the time that I was thirty years old. The reason that I chose this age was because I still wanted to be young enough to keep up with my children. However, that said, I don't think that there should be an age limit at which people are allowed to be new parents. The reason that I feel this way is because I think that every person is very unique and you can't really make rules that will adversely affect some people's lives.

it time 2 stop when your body says it's time. and that's different from person 2 person.

Hi, It is best to give birth to a child when you are still young and productive. But not women will agree to it. There are some women who married young and become a mom as their young ages. but some might refuse to have a kid until they really prepare for it. Different people have different kind of thinking. The best age to have children is between 25-35 years old. For me, I have my first child when I was 30. I do read about some news whereby an elderly give birth to a baby...so amazing!! Ages is not really the main issue to have a child, the most important is the couple are ready to have their child and they enjoy their parenthood.
