Guidelines - analysing topics/responses which should be deleted but are not.

There are so many complaints about topics/discussions/responses/comments being deleted and yet there are some which deserve the axe but are not. Would you be interested in taking up such topics so that we know why they are not deleted and learn from there? May be you could point out those which you feel should have been but have not been deleted? Just a suggestion. No matter how many times we read the guidelines yet no one here has come out with flying colours when it comes to mastering the guidelines.

I agree with you. I responded to some discussions then they were deleted. I thought those discussion were safe. While I saw one or two discussions are still here when it is apparent that they are against the guidelines. I want to say that no one is sure about the guidelines, but some people here act pretty sure they know all the insight of the guidelines. And you know what? Someone or some people might see this discussion and deem it as violation to the guidelines. It would never be me...

Jenny - There you are. Ambiguity again. I have my head on my strong shoulders and I do not think my topic is a guideline violation. On the contrary I am putting my two bit worth to clean up this place. I should be showered with accolades instead. myLot Admin encourages users to help them clean this place.

You can visit http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2366378.aspx if you have not already. There Alice has contributed. You can contribute there as that topic is more alive than mine All what I want is that users should not live in doubt and that is what is happening.

I like your optimism. I hope others are more open to discuss an "issue" like this one. I notice there are other issues on the guidelines, like rating process, I have not seen yet the admin contribution to it.

Hi! I would refrain from posting my responses to those posts, which appear to have violated the stipulated guidelines. However, I have found that many a times, my responses also get deleted because the original posts have been deleted altogether (now, mylot sends notification(s) for the same. earlier it was not so). I would not report about those posts which appear to violate guidelines, as I do not have time to analyse such posts. Since I joined I started many posts and it happened with me once only, when to my astonishment my valid posts got deleted.

There you are! "appear to have violated".You are not sure! There is ambiguity here. It should be crystal clear to us about which topics violate guidelines. I often avoid responding to interesting topics fearing that they would be deleted but they seem to still do the rounds.May be if we analysed a few of these that "appear to have violated" kind of topics we will learn a bit more

Good Morning to you allknowing! No doubt your idea is perfect that it should be crystal clear to us whether there is any violation of guidelines in any of the post. However, I think it would be difficult for us to analyse a post and check if there is any violation of any guidelines. At least I do not get that much time to analyse a post thread-bard. You please keep checking the monitoring the posts, if you could do so and let me know which type/category of posts should be avoided. (I will be thankful for your inputs).

pl. read - posts for post in the second line and thread-bare instead of thread-bard sorry for the typographical errors.

I completely agree with you. In fact, I have seen with a couple of users that they simply keep putting one liner rubbish lines in any discussions and they will keep replying to each other to make something like 15 to 20 replies within the same discussions. These replies are not at all relevant to the discussion under which they are posted. I hope mylot actually goes and bans such users or cancels all payments to them!! Cheers! Ram

There are quite a few discussions. Even if the discussion are ok, the responses are really silly and not related with the discussion. Cheers! Ram

Let me start with you then. Have you come across any topic which you thought was a violation but it is there alive and kicking? We can then analyse it here,

There are some guidelines that are clear to me but some of them need more explanation and example to make it clearly understand. Moreover, if mylot provide explanation for every deleted discussions which guidelines has been violated by discussions and must both the starter of discussions and responder should receive the notification. This will make it clear and not make us confuse. I have posted the topic about it. You may read it here: http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2360496.aspx. What do you think? If there is no explanation, there will be just trial and error to post here.

I got your discussion. You have done a good job there but things have not changed. My topic is about knowing what is a violation and what is not which is not clear many a time.
