I think it is weird that a telco wants money straight away, yet when they issue you with a refund they give you a cheque so i'll have to wait 5 business days to get the money in the bank. Do you think they are fair?

hi nabbsy! am not familiar with telco but in uk the general rule is that if u pay by cash then ur refund is by same method, so if u pay by debit card u cant get cash refund it goes back to ur card. maybe more companies should think that way as they are very clever at putting their account balances on fast overnight accounts so that they earn mega interest on their balances. i know this for a fact as i was regulkarly arguing the toss with company management accountants when i needed them to transfer money to meet my payroll demands within the business. that was quite an eye opener i've never forgotten!
