Ellen DeGeneres Leaving Idol?

Rumor has it that Ellen will also be leaving Idol this season, meaning the producers have to not only look for a new judge but also decide if they want to stick to 4 or go back to 3 judges. I would hate to be in the producers shoes now. What do you think? Will Ellen's departure affect you watching the show? Will you miss her? What do you think the producers should do if this rumor is true?

I like it when Ellen is in idol. I like her cause she's funny and her comments are also relevant. I think it would not be the same without her as one of the judges. And I heard that Simon is also leaving. Hmmm! Too bad, only Randy is left. I dont like Kera that's why I only said Randy.

I thought she was funny too and did say some insightful things. I feel sorry for Randy, it's like everyone is abandoning him.

Well, you might be correct that only Randy is left because the latest rumor is that Idol has fired Kara. Dun-dun-dun!

I hope she doesn't leave Idol. Simon leaving is bad enough, if she leaves then they would have to find someone who is as entertaining as Simon AND Ellen. However, even if they leave, I will still watch Idol. I watch the show because of the talents, not because what the judge are saying about them (though they can be funny at times).

It is like a double whammy isn't it. First Simon, now Ellen. I guess this new season, not only are we going to have new contestants but new judges- could be interesting.

I'm a regular viewer of the show and I will surely miss Ellen if she leaves. But I really don't think it will affect the show. I am always looking forward to a new season primarily to hear the new contestants but not much on what the judges has to say.

I'm so glad that there are viewers who watch for the singers not just for the judges' interaction. It is a talent show.

yep,i'll miss her definitely. I thought Ellen did a very gud job in season 9.She's funny and genuine and alwys gives contestants good comments. Hope she cn stay...starting worry abt the show...

I don't think Ellen leaving the show would have any effect for the show, though she is fun to watch. Simon leaving will have a great impact. Just wait and see this season , I think the rating for the show will go down without Simon around.

I agree that Simon is a bigger loss on the judges' table. And they still haven't announces/decided who is going to replace him.
