Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has sought to draw a line under speculation over Cesc Fabregas by insisting his captain will not leave the club this summer. In June, the Gunners rejected a bid of 29m pound from Barcelona from the 23 years midfielders. In this week also, they were refused to sit down for negotiation. Where, he has a 5 years contract and they did not want to transfer also. Lots of Barcelona players are also claiming to join their team in this summer. on 16 years old, Fabregas moved to Arsenal and scored 48 goals from 267 appearances.

goldenrose2, I feel that there's a little out of line in this bidding for this player to see players like Puyol involved with some unsavory remarks. Competition may be keen in pre season transfers and purchases but I do not think players should get involved with whatever management are doing. Puyol and parties should really mind their own business here. UEFA or FIFA or both should step in, before such unsporting behavior be carried into other transactions as well. Cesc may stay or move, it is solely up to him and his current team.

No. It is never possible for FIFA / UEFA / any football association to stop insisting a player to join with them because it is completely their personal issues whether they will join or not. They can only check the process of transfer or loan transfer of any player. If Fabregas is such an important player for them why did not Spain give him enough chances to play in world cup 2010?

Yes, club managements and authorities can ask their footballers that please stop commenting publicly for such type of matters.

I think that Barcelona should stop trying to buy Fabregas. He is contracted to Arsenal who do not want to sell him so they should respect this.

What Barcelona want to prove or want to do purchasing Fabregas from Arsenal where they have so many strong contenders for the midfield as well as attacking players !! I am really wondering that they still want to buy him even they lost so many millions of pounds in the previous season. So, Fabregas please stays at Arsenal and get more chances to play for Arsenal.

I think Arsenal have been over patient with Fabregas. I think Wenger is now losing the patience as he clearly sent out a message to Fabregas that it is high time he makes his stance clear to Barcelona. I think Fabregas is going no where this season, though next season he would eventually end up at Barcelona. Cheers! Ram

goldenrose2 Well Arsenal would be able to hold on his people for two more year and then consider if he wants to sell him. The thing is Fabregas wants to win titles, and this is not making him happy, once Arsenal goes back to their winning ways, he would stay longer.

Fabregas is the heart of Arsenal Football Team ans their supporters. His existence is inspiring all the players and the supporters also. They were shocked by the leaving of Theiery Henry to Barcelona where is still not getting the chances to play most of the time. So, please stay with Arsenal and play as many games as possible.

While Barcelona play some classy football, the same can't be said of the players. Fabregas is contracted to Arsenal and they have specifically said that they do not intend to sell the player. Yet, members of the Barcelona squad keeping harping about Arsenal forcefully keeping the player etc. The action of Puyol and Pique of putting a Barcelona shirt on Cesc is low class. Even if it is plain fun, it just shows how low they can go.
