I really think that that swimming is the best exercise. You can swim anytime of the day.. you don't see yourself sweating out. And because you're in the water, it's relatively clean. I remembered the time when I use to swim daily.. those times I would never catch a cold or Flu in months.. its seems that swimming boost your immune system. It makes your body adaptable to various environmental temperatures also and makes you shiver less and chill during cold weathers. Swimming is the sport with the best sports attire..light, skimpy and cool! Do you think that swimming is the best exercise? What do you think?

As long as it could make me slim why not? But then I really like swimming as well especially when I've learned it. However it was been easy for me to get tired when I am doing lapses.

I think the swimming is a good exercise and a good way of overcoming the fear of water for those who are afraid of water. It is heavier to move in water so it is more physical than other exercises.

Nope, walking is! it does not require any skills (unless you can't actually walk), no special venues (swimming requires pools not everyone could afford or it just not available), it does not require apparels, equipments and even special schedule. Its benefits are countless and you can do it anytime..

walking still the best among every exercise, it does not require any skill (unless you can't walk)it does not require any venue (swimming requires a pool, not everybody has access to a pool, not everybody can swim) although it is very good low impact exercise, nothing beats the convenience of walking.

I really do find that swimming is one of the best exercises that you can find. I really do enjoy it, as I find it very relaxing and you're able to work out every part of your body.

For me, yes because when you swim, you use every muscle of your body. Unlike some routine exercises where you focus on a certain part of the body to be developed, when you swim, you use all of your body parts.

Yeah, I actually love swimming, but i stopped to go to the gym, but reading this post i just might go swimming, hah yes. I think swimming is the best exercise, i love it when you can just jump in the water, a lot of fun! Swimming is actually very relaxing as well, when you're tired at the end of the day, you can just go in the water and relax. Peace.

Definitely. In swimming, your upper and lower body are working. At the same time you don't easily get tired. At least you end your exercise already clean.

I was told somewhere that swimming is one of the best sports, as it has no "impact", such as the type that running has. For example when you run, you put a lot of pressure on your ankles and knees. Also, bigger people can swim, as the water helps them not have a problem with there excessive weight etc.

Yes it is way better for you then running because harder to move in water so if you swim a lot it builds up stamina.

Swimming is a suitable sport for all ages. Swimming helps your body supple, healthy and strength. With obese people, helping them swim control their weight. For those who suffer from arthritis are swimming eliminates the risk of back pain and arthritis. For those suffering from diseases related to respiratory and swimming helped increase the lung capacity to live, it's good for people with asthma or smokers. The pressure of water on hand and food while swimming is good for blood circulation. Additionally, regular swimming is also preventing insomnia, neurasthenia and venous disease.

For me, swimming is a good exercise but not the best. Its really good because you can totally enjoy at the same time you are exercising. All your muscles moved and really good for the lungs. But as to determining the best exercise, I think it depends on what type of person are you, or most especially if you are a sport enthusiast. If you're good at tennis and loves playing it, for sure you would pick tennis as your best form of exercise. As for me, I would pick boxing as the best form of exercise. Because like swimming, all my muscles moved at the same time I can sweat it all out.

I do agree that swimming is the best exercise. We use so many parts of our bodies together when we swim. We are exercising with every stroke and kick in the water. Swimming is not only the best exercise, it is also fun.

I do feel like that swimming is one of the more effective forms of exercising. It exercises EVERY muscle in the body including the heart and is a good activity to build stamina and endurance. I love to swim and am looking forward to teaching my infant daughter how to swim... not only so that she won't be scared of water... but just in case she is at risk of drowning!!

Yes, it is the best exercise ever known because all of the parts of body (muscles) moving at each same time by doing swimming. It can be an excellent cardiovascular workout, and since it's non-impact, it doesn't damage your joints like some other exercises. Moreover, I firmly believe that swimming is the best exercise that anyone of any age can do. young and old participants can get in the action of swimming. You rarely get hurt if ever and its alot of fun. You also tend to lose a lot of weight more easily because underwater, your body is able to lift stronger weights and therefore; exercise stronger and harder and not realize it.

I've thought about this before and I think I agree. No sweat and you're using all the muscles in your body. It's fun when you're with your mates. Splash about when you get bored or tired. Gives you a chance to drown anyone you hate... LOL just kidding :P
