yahoo messenger webcaming on Macs

since June2006 ive noticed that i am unable to view other users webcams on yahoo messenger..is this due to a change with the cross platforming & now yahoo disallows Mac users to be able to use this function?..also other users are unable to view my cam when i use yahoo messenger
