I created a discussion but it turns out somebody else made that discussion. The thing about it is that, I am getting tons of responses. What should i do reply or ignore? I'm not sure if my lot will really see that it was already done.

I would probably go through and answer questions if people have asked them, but I wouldn't waste my time replying to continue the discussion, because as you said if it's a repeated discussion then it will get deleted. Faster if it's already been reported. I would also maybe comment in the first response box telling others that "this discussion may be deleted as it's a repeat." So as to try and stop people from responding, however this only works for those that read all the responses and comments. Which is one good point to always read before responding. Just my 2 cents worth.

It looks like people have stop replying now. Somebody posted that it is repeated already. Thank God. I still hope that the people don't get to hate me.

I don't think that people will hate you for 1 offense, now if you become one of the ones known for getting a lot of things deleted then you may have people avoid you. If someone gets bent out of shape over one then you didn't need them responding anyway, IMO.

But is not everybody is the same thing and i never want to take any serious chances next thing it really happened. By the way what is IMO?

Reply to them. It's not the first time that someone created a discussion that was already done, so go ahead and make your replies and your money

Next time I guess just let the other person report it. Multiple discussions happen on sites like this. Not your fault

I guess i just wanted to be a good mylotter if you know what i mean. I thought it would be better if i had just done that. And also it wasn't me alone who notice it someone else commented who also notice it.

But this time my discussion was reported. I know it was because i reported it. I was the one. I did that because someone else saw that it was repeated too, and they could have easy well reported it.

hi renhard I would hit the exclamation point as its better to ask mylot admins to delete it yourself as this way you risk less people losing their earnings responding to a post thats already been made a number of times. sorry you will lose but next time check to see if the topic has already been done.

Ok so What if the topics are the same thing. But are talking about different incidents? What about that?

I'm thinking that too. it is the first discussion I am ignoring. Let us see if it is really going to get deleted.

The search bar is suppose to be used so that as members we do not repeat discussions, however it does not function the way it is suppose to, therefore it is understandable that discussion do get repeated. Like the other responders stated more than likely it will be deleted. However with response to whether or not you should respond, always keep in mind when a discussion is started and members post their responses, if you would like that repetitive pattern to occur it is necessary that you give them the courtesy of responding. Not doing so well, no one will be mad they just will not respond to any other discussions you perhaps post in the future. Good luck to you and have a great weekend.

That's what I am afraid of. That i will loose other people ratings and they wont want to respond to my discussions anymore. By the way i only use that search to search for things off mylot. Never use it to search for discussions before.

That is what i meant by rating. I wasn't talking the exact ratings. i was talking people ratings for me. I want to keep that ratings as high as possible so people will always want to respond to my discussions.

Definitely want to always use the search bar before you start any discussions. It is in the guidelines by the way. Oh and you won't lose ratings you just won't get responses.

Well of course you should reply, as long as you didn't know about the other discussion while you were making yours that's fine but I think some cash is knocking at your door so go anser them whichever it is. I think my highest number of responses was about 35 or something.

I also think it makes no sense to reply. By the way parrot your highest was 35, while mine i think is 50. But anyway it would be a waste of time i think.

If your getting responses then it would be best to go ahead and answer them. I have seen many many duplicate discussions. They don't really care to much about that unless you copy the other persons discussion word for word..or copy and pasting it as your own. So it is only fair to those who took the time to respond to your discussion by responding back.

If it was me that was in this situation, then I would definitely attend to the discussion as I would usually do because there are other people that are going to take the time to respond to your discussion and even thought there is a likelyhood that the discussion will be deleted, it still shows to your friends that you do care about what everyone has to say about the discussion that you've started. There are probably other people that feel differently than I do, but I can't say that I am here exclusively for the reason of making money.
