Terror teachers are the best teachers in the world. Agree or disagree?

During my school days, I am used to encounter terror teachers. I used to hate them for being so rude. But at the end of the day, I realized that it is the terror teacher whom I've learned most. Therefore, I could say that they are the best ones. But of course, it is only my opinion.

It really depends on that terror. Sometimes it is justifiable but sometimes they just want to feel to be the king of the classroom or to be the power trippers so that students will be afraid of them. Oftentimes they are taking advantage of it. It is alright to be strict as long as the student will learn from your subject, most likely it has a comprehensive objective that teachers are strict.

i agree! my Grade 5 teacher helped me a lot in building my good character as an individual. i could still remember that she pinched ears to those who got 70% in our quizzes. i could also remember that another pinch would be given if we were late in class or did not clean well our area of responsibility.. according to that teacher, 'you would really thank me, time will come' indeed, i would like to thank her that much..

yeah! i could still remember her that much. all of us had this so-called fear during elementary years just and only because of her.. but, look at us now! we are the product of her terror acts. well, we became successful in our own ways and most important, we are good individuals.. i believe she had done something good for us...

i can say that "strict" is ok but "terror", I doubt it. how can can his/her student learn their lessons if they are too afraid with they're teacher. Teachers need to be firm while teaching but still kind and approachable once the class ended. I like those teachers that has this characteristics.

I have to agree my friend. Terror teachers are definitely some of the best teachers. When we started taking our majors, we were definitely scared, but then we were also pushed to do the best that we could. Their standards were high, and sometimes we complained they piled on the work, but it was definitely worth it. :) There was this incident when I volunteered to be a substitute teacher in a training, I was unconsciously imitating their (my terror teacher) gestures and signature phrases. Talk about impact! Haha! :)

For me being a terror teacher is not so good. Terror for me is too much but being a disciplined teacher is much better. Disciplined teacher and terror teacher is different for me because disciplined teacher teach his or her students about what is good and bad but the terror teacher is showing to his or her students too much bad manner of a teacher. I have a cousin that experienced to be handled by terror teacher and after that my cousin had a phobia to all teachers that's why he choose to stop schooling at the age of 9 and it take 8 years before he can go back to school again.

I disagree completely. All the terror teachers I've ever had I've failed in. Whereas my more kinder, understanding teachers I was able to learn better from and when I didn't understand something I could ACTUALLY approach them without having to cringe in fear and them looking at me like I was some sort of idiot. Terror teachers are usually very condescending so I don't like them at all, they make me uncomfortable and at the end of the day, I want to blame them for being so scary during their lectures that I can't pay attention or learn anything from them at all because they always ask what I don't get like I'm some sort of special ed student, talking down on everyone except for the ones people call teacher's pets who have special priviledges.

Hi, ronaldallan1916. If the teacher is a terror teacher, then that would scare students away. Being of too much of terror can be very difficult when students are trying to learn. A teacher that is fair and does not take any mess, is the kind of teacher that I learn more from the most.

I disagree. I dont think my terror teacehrs ever helped my in my studies before. I didnt like all of my terror teachers. It seems that they were so terror I felt so scared at them and I was never inspired to study their subject. I think terror teachers are only doing that cause they wanted students to pay them some respect.

It's fine being severe, but "terror" is too much. The teacher must encourage the student to learn his/her subject.
