Reputation going down for many----What could be the main reason?

gunagohan sometimes it will fluctuate that little, so I wou ld not worry unless it dropped ten points then I would contact mylot. By the way we gain or lose our reputations by rating each other , my lot does not rate us, we are supposed to all rate our fellow mylotters and I hope we all rate fairly as we are not to give minuses just because a fellow mylotter expressed an opinion that differed from yours.we are to all respect each others right to have our own opinions.Mylot admins tells us that by rating everyone when we post on their posts we help ourselves and our fellow mylotters. if we do not rate at all our stars will never move up. so remember to rate others and hope others give you more positive ratings so your star will move up.

I am just starting and trying to get a reputation built. For now mine is low because not many people know me or are friends with me here. I will be friends with anybody. All they have to do is ask and I will always give my honest opinion. I think maybe not everybody knows people and so they are less willing to give stars to others.

I don't know the main reason too.. sometimes I lose a few points and then gain back..and sometimes I lose it again. It's like a stock exchange or some sort, ha.. but I think it's all due to the + and - from others rating us. I could be wrong.. I don't know if period of inactivity can contribute to losing points or not.

Sometimes are discussions are rated negatively by others. Don't feel so bad about it, it happens to everybody. I do not give a big deal when it comes to my reputation in Mylot. As long as I enjoy the site, I don't hurt others feelings and I get my rewards for participating actively, I am fine and will always be fine with that.

Thanks for the discussion. I started with pinky 6 when I reached almost 200 points then one morning I saw it went to silver 7, for only about 5 minutes it goes down to pinky 6. At the time, I got 4 answers deleted because the questions they were under were deleted. I don't know if that is the reasons, or if some people just gave me a negative responses. I know I contradicted some people here. It rised to silver 7 again after I reached for more than 500 points.

I suspect you participated in discussions like mine, and were rated positive, leading to your rating coming up. Subsequently, my discussion was dleted, because of which the positive rating disappeared, and you ware back to where you were.

I think mylot reputation goes down when you have so much discussion that was disagreed by other mylot users. reasons such as offensive discusson could be one thing also. It is the reason why you have to watch anything that you say here in mylot.

Hello gunagohan! I noticed those kinds of decreases too...on my own..star :) I dropped 13 point in 36 hours. That has to be a record, right? :)) I noticed some people actually hold grudges and are very offended when you don't share their interest. But i think this is just like life...it has its ups and downs and things can always change. I don't think it's a reason to worry , though. Yes, it might affect the earnings a bit, but the most important thing to mylot is that it is very fun! You get in touch with people you couldn't have otherwise and you can exchange ideas and find out new things about the world and people. So i wish you happy myloting...and good ratings if they matter so much to you!

I think people are giving bad ratings for the wrong reasons. Just because it was not the answer you were hoping for, does not mean you should give it a -. It could also be because people are jealous of your high reputation, so they give you a bad one to bring it down. Where can you see your reputation out of 100 though? I can't seem to figure that one out.

This usually happens when a dscussion, esponse, r comment that you started, replied to, or commented on has been deleted. The best way to avoid this is to understand our guidelines and terms and not create or reply to discussions that are in violationtion. Hope this helps.
