My rant of the day!

My rant of the day: People who complain about not having any money to pay rent, but are showing off their new painted nails and their freshly done hair. It just grates on my nerves. On the news, a woman was complaining that she thought it was not right for her to get a ticket for not stopping a redlight, especially since she is struggling to pay her rent and put food on the table. Yet her hair has obviously been done (fresh weave) and her long nails have been painted up and she's definitely wearing gold jewelry around her neck and on her fingers. Yeah, you can't pay your rent or your traffic ticket but you can get your hair and nails professionally done... right.

For some people their priority is just in the wrong place. They want to appear like they have money and living life and enjoying it even though reality says otherwise. I have noticed it a lot in California, people drive new fancy cars and live in small and cheap apartments, its all a show for them. If only they focused on paying what they owe to people and not focusing only of themselves, at times we have to sacrifice and pay what we owe and not force others into trouble for no reason. This is one rant I agree 100% with you! Hope your having a great week so far

I've heard about that in California; people driving the latest cars and wearing the most exclusive brands only to go home to run-down apartments to eat those noodles in a cup. I guess there are people like that all around. Just makes me wonder where their heads are.

I agree! This irks me no end. I don't have any sympathy for people who are like that. They have no concept of priorities and apparently have no desire to learn. I get disgusted with reporters who report people like that without even a question about the situation. With the economy as bad as it is, people like that scare me more than anything. They'll all be on the public dole sooner or later and guess who gets to pay for their make up then?

Exactly! They will be the same one saying that the government owes them and where will our tax money be going then?

I get really mad when I see this at the grocery store and they are paying with a food stamp card. It really pisses me off. I have been working since I was 16 and sure I have gotten help from time to time but I don't feel bad as it is temporary and I have paid in plenty of money. Don't tell me how ruff you have it. You get more money for food then I do. I use coupons and shop the sales to earn money. My child is not dressed head to toe in name brand clothing. I do not get my nails done, to expensive. I don't get my hair done all the time, I get it cut about every 6 months or so. Don't expect my sympthy because me working is paying for most of the crap you spend your money on and no one told you to get the most expensive SUV out there. Learn to live within your means. I do it so can you. I don't mind the programs if the person really needs it for a temporary time. But these programs are all out of wack. When I was 18 I had a boyfriend who was being lazy about getting a job so I told him to go apply for food stamps so he was contruibing in some way, hoping it would get him in gear. Well he did it and he got enough to feed a 4 grown adults and I am talking name brand all the way and steaks a lot of the time. It was just crazy no wonder these people stay on these programs there is no incentive to get off of them and it pay better than getting a job. It just makes me so mad.

Yes, i find this very irritating she can't pay her rent but can find the money to doll herself up. i could just imagine how it must feel for people who "are" struggling to pay their bills hearing this woman complain about a traffic violation and how she can't pay her rent. in the first place, did she really think she could worm out of the ticket by giving that excuse? I'll bet she has no problem paying her bills, she just wants to be choosy on what her money is spent on.
