What would you do if your best friend stole something from you?

stole a thing or stole something that breathes? if it's a thing, i'd kick the sh*t out of him and if he stole my girl, i'll go to there houses and piss on their gate. seriously, it happened to me once. my friend stole my girl back in high school. we would have been expelled if my other friends weren't there to stop me. we're still friends though. i forgave him and that girl is now... who cares.

A friend is a someone we really care... they are someone we trust our lives with... And I believe if someone who I call my best friend stole something from me, is not a friend at all. I for one has an experience with that. Its not actually something material. It was trust that he stole from me. We were friends for like 5 years already. We see each other everyday because were classmates in college. We share notes, share ideas, share experiences... But I found out that almost everything he was telling me are all false... tell tales... I think he has this psychological problem. But I was not able to accept all the lies. So I erased him in my life. He doesnt deserve to be called a friend or anything near that word... I just felt sorry for him. I felt bad that time because I felt like he was crawling at the back of my brain, stealing my interests in my studies. Hope this doesnt happen to anyone of you myLotters!

Something like that never happened to me. But if it did. I will turn cold towards him and finally let him know. But this would break up the trust i had in him permanently. Even though sometimes friends can't be avoided no matter wat they do because we feel so attached to them. I will lose trusting him/her completely.

Hi, sweetneelu. I would be mad if she stole something from me. I would never trust her again, that is for sure. I would be very skeptical of trusting her again. Believe me after this, there will be some boundaries.

If I knew positively, without the shadow of a doubt that my "friend" had taken my property, I would confront my friend and try to find out why. I would also question my friend on whether or not we're really friends because true friends don't treat each other this way.

Hello Sweetneelu. That would never happen. A friend would never steal from a friend. If a "best friend" ever stole from me it would make me see that they were not a friend at all, just a deceitful enemy.

That friendship would be over pretty fast. I do not tolerate friends stealing from me. If I can't trust someone then he cannot be a friend of mine. After all, friendship is built on trust. And can trust a thief? If he is able to steal from me, who knows what other evil things they are capable of doing?

it never happened to me, and i hope it will not happen, as i do not know what will be my reaction if she will do such things, besides i do not think our best friend will do that to us because first of all we also got to choose our best friend right? surely we will not pick bad people

Fortunately i dont have such friends lol those who will steal from me, well i thk if it happened it will be the end of the friendship as i think stealing from someone is really bad specially from someone that you trust

Steal something or someone? Well if he stole something from me I probably would be upset, but it wouldn't be a big thing. I think it's childish to lose your friendship over something. If he stole my girl, nah, he wouldn't be able to do that even if I let them sleep together for a night. My girl's seriously attached to me. However, if some miracle happened and he stole her, well, he should say his last goodbyes to the people he loves because I don't think he'll be able to live another day with what I'm going to do to him.

Sounds like your friend is not really a friend if he/she stole something from you. Just wait until guilt overpower your friend and admit what was done. Give him/her the benefit of the doubt assuming he/she didn't steal something of serious value. But if they did it again cut your ties and look for a new friend.

it would have really hurt as it is like a break of trust. it better to ask than to steal.

I really don't think I'd be friends with them if they did that. if they were dumb enough to take something from me without asking then they don't value our friendship and neither would I. They could just say hey can I borrow this and i would have been OK with that.
