why do we have to tag our messages?

Can other people see our messages? I understand the reason behind tagging on our discussions, but what about in our messages? Our messages looks like discussions too. Why can't it look just like any other messages on other sites?

I think this will just apply if you have a long library of messages. At least you don't have to go page by page to look for that specific message. If you will just tag it and search for the tag then the message will just show. I hope my inference is right.

The people can't see your message but only see your discussion in public. I saw a same them. I guess Mylot need to delete tags in message.

I don't see much point. I guess it's to help the discussion, attract more peeps by placing more tags.

Ah woops, read the discussion wrong! As for tags on private messages, that still remains a mystery to me

hmm... I still prefer the email kind of messages. Well maybe for those who have been years here will prefer the mylot message way, but... If it is to easily find old messages, then we will probably forget what we have tagged it if its old?? Anyway, that's just my opinion.

I guess if your a heavy messenger you might have a lot of messages to look through. If your looking for something specific the tags could help you find that (If you use them that is) For me, I have no reason to tag my messages. All I've sent people is thank you messages. Other than that all the messages I received are people asking me to be their referral for something. Since I don't reply to those, I don't send many messages.
